Relive Miami's Greatest Moments versus Florida State

Before the next chapter of the rivalry is written, relive the greatest moments from a series that restarted back in 1951. From the wide rights to Brevin Jordan's catch in the end zone, to Cam Ward dotting up the Seminoles' defense, all the classics are there.

Miami and FSU will play this upcoming weekend in a top-25 clash for the first time since 2016. It could have been a College GameDay stop and even at higher stakes if the Seminoles hadn’t lost to the Virginia Cavaliers this past weekend in an upset. Miami is ranked No. 3, while Florida State comes in at No. 18. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

The 11-minute YouTube video starts with the wide rights and then rolls through the other great moments.

Enjoy!

Nessler, Jackson, Lundquist, Musberger were all lightyears ahead of the announcers today. Nessler was electric calling big Canes games in the 2000s. He's relegated to occastional Big Ten games on CBS now after SEC moving to ESPN.

Now we get Fowler, McDounough and Tessitore calling all the big games. Huge dropoff imo

Jackson calling our games was fantastic. I also recently watched a clip of the 1993 UF-Tennessee game. Man he could build up an event without being overwrought or melodramatic.

Irvin streaking down the sideline in '87 for Miami to take lead, the win and later the Natl title.

Another note, I remember how pumped those intros used to get me (beginning of video). Probably dated today but the intros, theme music, announcers set the tone. I squirm at the Image Dragons leading into Tessitores rara **** now.

After UVA game pretty clear Tony White (#51) still uses this video as tackling teaching tape for FSU.

I remember where I was for each and every one of these highlights from my viewing lifetime. I can remember Moss streaking down the sideline in 04 (seemed like a longer run in my memory) and of course Gore breaking the plane for the OT victory.

A fun one there is the 2007 game, which was a disaster of a year. That comeback victory with Kirnobyl at QB was inexplicable.

Many of those hard hits draw flags today. Unfortunate!
