Just my thought on this and I could be wrong... But Lane shows up to UF wearing Canes gear, looks miserable in group pic, & cousin is the LB'ers coach at Miami. I am thinking it'll be a Miami / Bama battle. I doubt UF is much of a factor in this at the end.

Ermon Lane interviews are going to be troll status up until NSD. Just last week, he had 6 schools (Bama, UF, Clemson, LSU, UGA, Miami) standing out with FSU recruiting him the hardest. One week later, he has 3 schools (Bama, UF, Clemson) standing out with Florida recruiting him the hardest. Then shows up to the campus of the school recruiting him the hardest with Canes gear. Ermon trolling is more professional in its approach.

I've been following lane for awhile and unless he has a change of heart its strictly a Miami Bama battle. Miami has the edge up in a lot of aspects but Bama plays on the biggest stage and with Coop ballin out there it makes it tempting to him.

Like I understand the game day atmosphere thing for UGA, but I think there's more than that because there are plenty of places with just as good or even better gameday atmospheres

Pete do you think lane is gonma be "that" recruit that gives the headaches this year

So USC offered Quincy Wilson, eh? Hmmmm....( side-eye look at Al..)

I've been a little disappointed about Quincy not getting an offer as well but think about it, what school is closest to him and has the best chance to evaluate him and most likely can make a better decision about offering him, it's like Greg Bryant last year IMO, all these schools were fitting for him but the local schools laid off

we should take d.thompson off the roster and let crow transfer and take 3 QBs maybe harris or flowers

Like Golden said, the stadium deal shouldn't factor too much, because you're only going to be playing in it like 7 days out of the year not including a spring game, etc.

You better have a place that is great to be in the other 358 days out of the year.

Athens is a nice college town, but nothing in comparison to Miami with things to do.

I wanna hear we're putting in overtime on DT/DE's that can grow into DT's. There's always gonna be an abundance of RB's and WR's and Slots in S. Florida, but OL and DL wins games not physical prototypes. Recruit the best "football" players not prototypes or Potentials.

Games are won by DL and OL. Thats where I want to see us win recruiting battles. RB's and WR's are a pleanty in S. Florida and Florida in general.

Treon Harris is an exceptional athlete. He could play anywhere and make plays. After the success of Wilson at Seattle, I don't give a **** about prototype size. Give him a chance and if he can't cut it we know slot or DB are places he could easily settle into and make "Plays". Everytime time I watch film on Quincy Wilson all I see is a big physical corner or safety that brings the wood and can cover. Plus he's a legacy kid. Why he hasn't been offered I can only imagine is that Patton and the other kid are their primaries, but we gotta get the best football players at all positions. Khairi Clark, Chad Thomas. Tre' Valentine and Moten are musts.

Agreed. The atmosphere at UF, LSU, Bama, etc is just as good. Why Georgia?

Answer: I have heard that there might be a middle man involved here as usual. Heard his family has arrangements (i.e. place to stay) in Athens every time they come to town.

Anybody that is from south Florida that doesn't pick the U is getting paid. However if Sony picks Miami he turned down the money to put on for the city.

If we lose Sony to Georgia with a bunch of rumors like that **** I might just completely lose it and go "Healy" on fams. Follow their *** all the way to Athens and catch snap shots of them inside their townhouse. Straight to Deadspin.

I've lived in Athens and Miami. Both nice places but there really isn't much comparison.

The gameday atmosphere is pretty cool in Athens, but as a player, you will never see all that tailgaiting and whatnot. And if we keep getting kids like Sony, our gamefay atmosphere will get to be pretty awesome too.

yeah I dont think the gameday atmosphere is what has Sony giving UGA a hard look I listened to a radio interview of his and he has really looked into each school he is considering
