Am I going crazy or did they remove Flood HB Swing out of Gun Y Off Trips? I definitely saw it listed in Miami’s playbook pre-release but now it’s not there. I even used it in practice mode in the preview version of the game 2 days ago.

WTF?
Yup. I’ve had to completely change my offense . Running trips and trips hb weak mostly . The Duo run out of Bunch Strong is awesome .

Been practicing Slot Corner out of Gun Trips as a substitute for Flood HB Strong. Not bad, but I preferred FHBS out of Y Off Trips because of the RPOs in that formation. Had a nice little scheme going in CFB 25. Have to recalibrate a little now

Really like the Miami playbook.
To be honest, when I first looked at the playbook, pre-release, I was a little disappointed. However, the more I mess around with it the more I’m starting to like it. Bunch STR Offset, Trips Y Slot WK and Trips HB Wk, especially, have some very good quick snap plays with a bunch of pretty unique routes

what’s the best year one recruiting class folks have been able to get in dynasty?

I think I've settled on my new base play this year.....it's Smash and it's found in both Trips and Trips Offset

Put the outside receiver on the trips side on a shallow "in" route and quick snap the play. This route combination has answers for pretty much every defense in the game. The streak to the inside slot receiver gets open a ton against zone and should be the #1 read. If I wanted to be **** I honestly could run this play almost all game against 99% of online opponents and not punt. I'm 25-4 right now and honestly those 4 losses were all close games on the road where stadium pulse was **** until I settled on this base play and expanded my offense from there.

Also, "Sail" out of Gun Trips pretty much replicates the Flood play we liked from last year....just put the running back on a flair to the trips side. If you're not on the road and/or stadium pulse isn't bad, put the solo side receiver on a deep dig and you basically have the same route combination from last years Flood HB play.

This may be the first time in the history of EA football games that they gave Miami a good playbook. Overall the game feels a little slower but in a good way. Last year might have been a little too fast with too much emphasis on one play scores.

Smash out of Trips Offset was one of my top go-to plays in CFB 25, especially vs Cover 2 man. Unfortunately, they nerfed the speed of that backside deep dig in CFB 26, making it much less effective. It was almost unstoppable in 25 vs any coverage if you got the timing right.

It’s funny you mentioned that Sail play out of Trips as your Flood HB Swing substitute, because that’s the play I settled on too. However, like the Smash play, the nerfing of the speed on the Deep Outs and backside Deep Digs/ Square Ins makes these routes less effective than I would like. That swing to the HB does get open for some nice easy yards though in most cases.

If you want to try a nearly unbeatable play that has just 2 simple adjustments try “Dagger” out of Gun Bunch STR Offset. All you have to do is put the middle bunch wr on a Deep Cross and the HB on a wheel. First read is the quick drag (destroys man), second is the Deep Cross. If those both are somehow covered, the TE takes a delayed step to the outside that allows him to nestle into a soft spot underneath for some quick easy yards before he heads up field and cuts it over the middle. I have practiced this play vs every type of defense and it is nearly unstoppable.

Yeah...I've been running that dagger play with the deep crosser and it's money. Like I mentioned to you in an earlier post, what makes that dagger play even better is that it happens to be in the same formation as the best run play in our entire playbook. That "Duo" play out of Bunch strong is soooo good.

Yeah the backside digin Smash isn't as good...but if you re-hot route an "in" and then stem it up to recreate the dig it runs a lot better. Only issue is you can't do that when the stadium pulse is going nuts.

Side note.....is it just me or does it seem like they programmed it so the stadium pulse isn't as bad in the 2nd and 4th quarters? I find it easier to do hot routes in those two quarters.

I can’t comment on the stadium pulse since I haven’t even played online yet, lol. I like to take a week or 2 in practice mode to perfect the playbook before getting into online play. In fact, since I hadn’t played a video football game since NCAA 14, I spent even longer than that in practice mode before playing CFB 25 on line because I had no clue what I was doing.

Yeah, that Duo play + “Pin Pull Toss”, combined with the modified Dagger play, probably makes this my favorite formation in the playbook right now.

I got 11 5 stars in my 2nd class (in year 4 now). More than half transferred for playing time anyway though even though it wasn’t their original deal breaker.

Stadium pulse is **** . Make sure you have at least 5-6 plays in your favorites that you know well enough to run with no hot routes .

Man, I was bummed when I heard that they were incorporating stadium pulse into online play. Playing with the speed-challenged Canes, it was already tough enough going against the same 2-3 Super-Stacked teams every single game (Bama, OSU, and Georgia..all with superior playbooks as well). Now they want to force you to play at a disadvantage when you play them at their house? Not a fan of it right now but, who knows? Maybe, eventually, I’ll learn to appreciate the extra level of challenge that it brings..

To be frank....it ******* sucks and I hate several of the design decisions they made this year. The good news is they are catching heat in every direction and people are really upset so I think/hope they'll eventually patch it.

Did any of the UM players opt out of the game I asked because the roster hasn’t been updated quite some time since the game has been released
