D$ and I take an inside peek at Miami's fall camp thus far, including discussion on early top performers, depth chart movement, and standout freshmen.
at this same time last year as true freshman. Zion was a recent App State flip and maybe pushing 265 with mediocre Butch Barry coaching."At worst, he should be light years ahead of Zion"
Where do we find these people?
I don’t know how anyone has anything negative to say about Zion! Kid did everything coaches asked in that crappy system that didn’t help him at all. Imagine Orlando pace in enos offensive lolol!! To me Zion is the least of the problems, he was a true freshman!!!Zion is better by a good margin , Walker needs strength and technique.

crazy to think a blue chip OT who came into college not needing to gain 60lbs would be light years ahead of where our starting LT was last year huh?
Love the pope , Chaney and Redding talk
Money why do you hate kosi ?
I want him to succeed. He stuck with the team and didn’t complain. He’s not a quitter or a cancer. I just think he’s a slow decision-maker.
Which is kinda funny because people were penciling him ahead of Zion as if we didn’t see this same story last year. Zion’s issus wasn’t talent.Zion is better by a good margin , Walker needs strength and technique.
Blue chip or not playing a true freshman at LT isn’t ideal for anybodyat this same time last year as true freshman. Zion was a recent App State flip and maybe pushing 265 with mediocre Butch Barry coaching.

Might be because compared to King? Playing against texas qb who probaby been coached in spread for yearsssss he has better feel compared to florida qb who was corched in chuck it ball.. That could be glaring..I want him to succeed. He stuck with the team and didn’t complain. He’s not a quitter or a cancer. I just think he’s a slow decision-maker.
Zion isn’t playing left tackle though, if he plays he will be a guard this year which is what I was Predicting him to do months agoWhich is kinda funny because people were penciling him ahead of Zion as if we didn’t see this same story last year. Zion’s issus wasn’t talent.
interested in seeing what happens with Jakai Clark. Especially now that Corey Gaynor essentially gets an extra year as well.
I think this is the biggest N’Kosi takeaway. In an era where you see backup QB’s transfer like it’s nothing, Kosi stuck. And it’s because he believes in what’s going on at UM right now and he’s taken that next step in his own maturity as a personI want him to succeed. He stuck with the team and didn’t complain. He’s not a quitter or a cancer. I just think he’s a slow decision-maker.
Doesn’t really matter for the argument’s sake. Zion would be ahead of Walker at LT too. Walker just isn’t one of the best 5-7 lineman as a true frosh and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. He’ll be really good by his 3rd year.Zion isn’t playing left tackle though, if he plays he will be a guard this year which is what I was Predicting him to do months ago
It’s both, believe that. And I wish I could give even more to y’all**** @Stefan Adams dropping the 4AM podcast that's either an all nighter or your Adulting an getting in the side work before the day job. Either way impressive sir!.
@DMoney Stefans actions reflect your leadership with these early morning nuggets.
Go Canes
Good that RSA recognized this that is why I brought up the BJ Jennings/Waynmon steed hype. To be clear, I’m personally not buying it, but I’m 100% down for someone I didn’t expect to step up at LB.ROSOOS Recurring Off-Season Over-Optimism Syndrome
What do you mean by WR1? In my opinion if you want to be good at the spread you better not have one WR dominate in catches. They all have to get a lot of touches. Makes it much harder to defend. I am assuming that is what you meant I was just not sure.I hadn't heard anyone saying Pope stood out so far until the podcast. Good to hear for sure. Pope, Payton, and Redding all have WR1 talent IMO. Just hoping one emerges
So even with the uptempo and simplicity of the offense he’s still not making strides but they say he balled Saturday

Z - great all around
Y - should lead in touches has to be able to blow the top off and run all the quick game. Can be smaller quicker - i think put your best guy here.
H - can be many different body types - I like the slot TE type the best
X - should lead in highest yards per catch - your fastest WR.
This is just my opinion - I have coached the spread over 20 years. I think the spread allows each coach to really emphasize the type of talent he has to work with.
