Is Metro Diner a chain? My parents live and Jacksonville and they love that place but with the name I thought it was a family owned spot.
It’s a chain. There was one in Macon, Ga as well until about 3 years ago
 
That’s my joint… not as good since they sold out though. The original owner owns a sport/trading card shop in jax now, house of cards or something like that.
Same thing happened years ago with Sonny’s. When Sonny sold out it became trash. Nothing tastes the same , it’s like fast food BBQ.

Skeeters lol. That’s old school. I remember eating there as a jit. That’s a blast from the past lol. Asher’s rings a bell.

43rd ST Deli has a good breakfast. Solid French Toast.

Asher owned the place I think. Or it was the name of the son. They had a dish called an Asher’s Special.

Visited several times back in the day when visiting the campus for homecoming or a football game … they had an Asher and a Little Asher or something like that. Solid bfast after a long night out.
