Bringing out the big dawgs.... Season must be close.

@DMoney you seem to praise the OL as a pass blocking unit but come short of doing the same with regards to runblocking. Just based off personnel and last season, im sure pass blocking will be their stronger element, but in your opinion is the run blocking actually progressing and showing real promise? The talk from the last scrimmage seems to be a far cry from the spring when none of our RBs seemed to be able to average more than 3 ypc

I expect more big runs based on (1) a more dangerous passing game; and (2) a dynamic tandem at RB.

Homer has improved a ton (he's the hardest worker on the team) and he was already very good to begin with. Dallas is going to be a top playmaker. There are very few teams that have two guys who are simultaneously as tough and dynamic as those two.

Great podcast, D. But ****, work on that audio for call-ins! Steve's voice was ear piercing! :)

AU, isnt my voice always like that regardless?

But seriously, the shame is we talked for over 50 minutes and one part that was cut out was how Zev Lumelski(yeah, that one) actually sent me a Facebook friend request over the weekend. It was surreal. And DMoney brought up how we used to kill him on message boards and I said,"AUcane had one of the all-time great posts in message board history when he said - ''he could yell 'look out!!; in seven different languages."

IIRC that was during one my breakdowns of the Erickson recruiting classes on 'that other site' way back when

And yes, I did accept Zev's request, for the record

Now I just need J Ina or Alan Symonette to reach out to me and my life is complete

Discord is a great, free alternative to skype and there are tons of plugins to record off of it. Plus users could connect to listen live/post comments in chat during (you can control who actually gets to speak). It also wouldn't be a bad idea for a Canesinsight discord channel where we can all chat/mock each other during the games. Just a thought

Yeah, that was on me and my end. I have now joined the 21st century and downloaded Skype. My previous appearances on the podcast with Peter in the past I was on a regular phone and it was fine. But again, Ive got Skype now

Good. We need that **** *** voice as crystal clear as possible!

Hearing that our starting RG isn't strong is pretty sobering. Good to hear that Boulware is pushing for playing time though.

Good stuff.

Interesting tidbits from the NFL scouts. Nice to hear them recognizing Demetrius Jackson as a prospect. While I can see the 3-technique talk, I think his best fit is as a 3-4 DE. I imagine the scout who mentioned DJax is associated with a 4-3 team.

As for the rest of the DEs. I know we’re getting way ahead of ourselves, but we could potentially be looking at a situation where we put out a 1st round DE 3 years in a row.

DJAX is very rewarding of that recognition....just stay healthy man!

Do you already have Freeman Brown, Bryan Fortay and Alan Hall?

Boulware is not strong either. From what i can tell he's a guy with similar skillset to Mahoney

I disagree... DJax is built for the 4-3. He doesn’t have the size to be a 3-4 DE in the NFL. I wouldnt want him to waste his talent as a 3-4 DE

HArd to understand what K9 was saying when he mentioned Urban Saban toward the end @DMoney ......really interested on what u guys were talking about
