Pretty awful decision-making. They didn't figure that. They both seemingly bought into what they were being told. You think Kendrick Norton believed he was max'd out and leaving to be a non-Top 200 player or even an UDFA? Take a look at the history of 1Ts coming out before their 4th (or even 5th!) season. I'm surprised people are actually supporting their [horrendously poor] calculation.

It's because UM was advising they return, and UM is always in the wrong. Or so it seems 'round here.

But bro, that 2nd contract. lolz

Canes or Pats a likely spot for Norton to land.

It is not about bullying people to stay in school. Many of us understand what they have to gain by staying 300 more days. Now if these kids want to comeback to school it will cost them $50,000 per year.

No matter how much we hate it and yap about it year after year,...4th to 7th round tweeners that have plenty of tape already will still risk leaving early,...hoping to improve their stock before the draft.

We can show this discussion thread to every player out there and it will still happen. Then there are others that will stay,....and I dont mean others like Chad Thomas because they were never respected as high as he was, talent-wise.

So I'm just a little curious as to why other men waste so much effort on what we know is going to keep happening anyway,...especially while we're not back to being a top 5 program yet. But I digress.

How do you know that? Both of these guys are 3 years out of high school. It's almost unheard of to come out as a defensive lineman this early, these guys made a horrible decision. Both had a lot of promise, and maybe they wouldn't have been top 15 picks next year but we wouldn't be sitting here in the 4th round wondering if they're going to get drafted at all.

I just don't blame them for wanting to move on. They played **** near every snap for us since 2016 and probably felt like they had shown enough. Sleazy Pete didn't help matters but after seeing Norton nearly blow out his knee against Clemson it's hard for me to blame anyone for wanting to stop being slaves and go get paid to put their health on the line.

Kendrick Norton probably played 60-65% of our snaps, that's a ridiculous estimate. They felt like they'd shown enough despite coaches and the draft advisory board telling them they hadn't?

Round 6
Jets select UConn DT
Rams go DT out of Rutgers.
Baltimore just selected a DT out of Wagner.
Norton still waiting.

A little sad at this point. Never base your decision for anything off of what someone else is doing.
