Muhammad headed to Hampton U

Former Miami Hurricanes defensive end Al-quadin Muhammad is headed to FCS Hampton University, sources told CanesInSight.com. The highly talented, but troubled rush end was dismissed from Miami's program last week for his involvement with a luxury car rental dealership in South Beach.

The NCAA has yet to rule Muhammad ineligible and he hopes that he will be able to play this season for the Pirates of Hampton U. Muhammad is not yet on Hampton's online roster, but he is enrolled in classes at the school and should begin practicing soon.

Aqm was wrong and UM did the right thing. That said, Aqm did a lot to come back to the U, when he didn't have, because he loved the U. I will always support someone who was willing to ride with the U like that.

Really Pete....highly troubled? He got into a fight and caught receiving extra benefits. Lets hold off on the HIGHLY troubled part. Its not like he rapped or robbed someone at gun point.

It'll probably come down to whether or not the NCAA bothers to make the connection to the agent through the rental company. If they determine he took benefits from an agent he'll be done.

I'm sure since he left Miami and he's not playing for another hated school like USC . The mob will not wasted their time now since they can't hold another 2 year cloud on us

This is absurd. He's no longer at Miami!

AQM has been suspended longer than he has played at UM and some of you want to continue giving him a pass. This is his fault. His actions could have put this program in major jeopardy with the NCAA. I don't wish AQM anything bad but I certainly don't wish him well. He should live with the choices he made.

He obviously suffers from a severe case of immaturity and lack of general awareness. I'm not going to hate on the kid too hard as he did stay after receiving probably too stiff a penalty for the punch but hindsight being 20/20 would say it'd have been better for all parties if he had just left then.

Really nothing fishy. The NCAA has not formally reviewed the case. If they did, UM seems confident that they would find something. Therefore, they just got rid of the problems (Young, AQM, Grace) before they became bigger.

Dj Williams said he spoke w aqm over the years and told him to not post the crap that he. Does on social media and he still didn't listen. Also, manny said this goes back to players from other schools as well. Any truth to Manny?
