Marcus Allen, a transfer guard from Missorui, announced on social media Wednesday afternoon that he is committing to Miami.

Lucas mentioned to the press right after arriving in Miami that he plans to keep the Florida kids at home, and with Marcus joining the team, it's another move towards that goal.

The 6-foot-7 guard originally hails from the Miami, Florida area and played at Missouri, where he came off the bench, averaging 2.6 points and 2.0 rebounds in 9.2 minutes per game.

After graduating from Norland High School in 2024, he was ranked as a four-star recruit, ranked as the 67th player in his class, the 12th small forward, and the 11th player in Florida.

My question is what position does Marcus play? I've seen him listed as a SG up to a PF.

Imagine that puts him squarely at the 3 where shelton and timotej are. Can Allen play the four? Like small ball lineup.

His highlights didn't show a guard like player.

Forward IMO - I think we see more matchup basketball this year with a Lucas defense. Sometime he’ll be the 3, sometimes the 4.

Sounds like he will be the number 9 or 10 player on the roster

I was hoping we were going sign him out of Norland

Today's game is pretty much played position-less. You're going to usually see a PG, 3 wings and a big any time a team takes the floor. Marcus falls under the 3 wings category. A guy that will defend 3-4 positions and on offense play on the outside from the 3 point line to the mid-range level. On occasion, if/when we decide to play small ball could possibly see some minutes at what most fans refer to as the 4 spot.

Roster shaping up nicely. Still need shooters.

Any highlights on him any of you got?

Definitely has some great size (pause)…
