Miami's 2027 Class Has Become Something We Haven't Seen In Coral Gables

On Friday afternoon, Mario Cristobal and the Miami Hurricanes coaching staff continues to stack top-talent into its 2027 recruiting class as five-star athlete A'mir Sears made his pledge to Miami.

The Hurricanes now have a total of five five-star committed players in the cycle. Earlier this week, Sears made the decision to reclassify to the 2027 recruiting class. Previously, he was ranked as the nation's No. 1 prospect in the 2028 class. Even with his reclassification, he is still considered a five-star prospect and a top-20 player overall.

It has just been an unbelievable job by Cristobal and the staff to bring in this type of class to Coral Gables. After Sears commitment, the Hurricanes are now considered as the nation's No. 3 recruiting class, behind No. 1 Texas A&M and No. 2 Notre Dame. If you're going by the original 247Sports rankings system, the Hurricanes are as high as the No. 2 team in the country.

This cycle is being considered the best class in Miami Football history. Headlined by quarterback Israel Abrams, defensive lineman Jaiden Bryant, wide receiver Nick Lennear, and cornerbacks Donte Wright and A'Mir Sears. Four of these five Hurricanes have already shut down their recruitment.

The Hurricanes also have multiple blue-chip prospects committed including AJ Randle, Jatori Williams, Eli Woodard, Sean Tatum, Ezekiel Ayangbile, Andre Hyppolite, and Ai'King Hall, who all rank inside the top-200 in the cycle.

As Miami continues to add elite talent to its recruiting class, something special is brewing in the secondary now that Sears has joined Wright and Sherrod Gourdine.

No insider but as an interested observer, I think Mario still wants the DE, the TE and the RB. He’d take another OL, DT, LB. But they’d all have to be +1 types, elite or near elite.

If we stopped signing kids today we’d be happy. Only major late bloomers and top guys 5 stars we all know are in the crosshairs nows. We kick butt on the field, Anything is possible

Its not just the athletes! Youth around the planet want to visit and or live in South Florida! The Northeast corridor or NYC, Boston and etc stay coming to South Florida, year around but especially, November, December and January! They bring important business people for a weekend to South Florida/Caribbean! Lets not forgot the young and old of Europe who stay in South Florida, year around! Youth around the planet who have money, status, fame and etc, they want to be and live in South Florida!

I have PTSD from hearing talk that sounded just like this about the 2008 class that had all the kids from Northwestern.

Basically every player from that recruiting class was overvalued.

The quality of player in this class is absurd

We are #1 in average player rating in just about every metric. No padding the stats with 30+ commits

North Carolina
South Carolina
