Minutes before kickoff between the Hurricanes and the Mustangs, some news broke in the booth. Star Miami wide receiver CJ Daniels has been ruled out for today’s game.
The LSU transfer has been one of Miami’s top offensive weapons this season, ranking second on the team with 33 receptions for 351 yards while leading the ACC with six receiving touchdowns.
Daniels and defensive tackle Ahmad Moten Sr. were listed as game-time decisions earlier this morning but have now both been ruled out. Starting cornerback OJ Frederique Jr. was also listed as out heading into the matchup.
With Daniels sidelined, the Hurricanes will look for young wideouts Jojo Trader and Malachi Toney to step up and make key plays against the Mustangs.
