There's no doubt in my mind that Flowers can play QB at Miami. However, if he's looking at playing ball in the NFL it'd be in his interest to be open to the switch sooner rather than later.

+1 i would say you can add harris, but im not sold at him playing QB

-i thought you suppose to put up big numbers on bad teams
-who can make an argument of how many "good" teams are outside the acc or sec
-i dont know how your suppose to finish your senior season with nerve damage in your arm
-lastly he had to have some throwing ability you dont put up 20 pass 15 rush and has about the same comp % as stephen morris

Robinson completed 53% of his passes last year with 9td and 9int, the year before that it was 55% with 20th and 15int. Robinson was a horrible QB, their offense actually got better when he got hurt and they put someone who could throw back there

his last season was injury plague. and im not saying hes a great QB but he has a great skill set you can def use on the college level

In the Wildcat, ya. But not being able to hit the broadside of a barn generally doesn't work in any offense that isn't the triple option.

Bama currently has a mobile on their roster. The kid gets more snaps at TB than QB.

The scary thing is this is so similar to Tebow talk and I would hate to hear so much about Winky not getting a chance and just get sick of it and him

"They said they like me at quarterback, but they say they wanna see me work at reveiver too.”

This = You're going to play receiver from the minute you step on campus

"We like you at quarterback but we also want to see you at receiver" means "we don't like you at quarterback."

Anyway, if this kid is dead set on playing QB, then let him go elsewhere. Would love him at safety though. Great athelete, great football player.

The funny thing is they want him at receiver and he swears he's only going to play qb but they're in his top 3? Just say that depending on the school I will be willing to switch

Hes not willing to switch, he's just buying into Bamas bull**** that he will get a chance to play qb

Im just saying that he should know if they bring up receiver to him that they want him there like Bama should be honest and not stoop so low but also the prospect needs to just be smart

How dumb is this kid Bama will never have a black QB as long as they are located in alabama last i checked its still there #racists

If he believes Bama's bull**** and doesn't appreciate our being straight up with him then oh well.

I know it sucks when you're a pretty good QB but if you really want to get to the league and make the real money, you gotta be realistic at some point.

There are alot of kids who play QB in HS and go to college to be great WR's or whatever.

Miami Jackson QB Quinton “****y” Flowers

Pretty sure it´s "Winky" (still an awful nickname). But you never know with kids these days:

And this is something that we can not afford to do with any local kids, but Bama can do this with south FL recruits.

If we brought him in telling him the whole time that he will play QB here then switch him to Safety it would blow up locally and cause future problems in recruiting b/c we lied.

Bama on the other hand can lie to this kid, his parents, his coaches and tell him he will be a QB, "we just want to see how good of a WR you might be just for kicks". It won't get blown up like it would here and you all know that. Just look at how that BS at BTW blew up last recruiting cycle with us.

The kid should look to both the Denard Robinson and Anquan Boldin examples.

Denard Robinson was an amazing ATH with average QB skills, but was dead set on playing QB. He was taken by the Jaguars to play WR not QB and for a lot less than he could have made if he would have decided to play WR in college.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nfl--denard-robinson-s-nfl-future-rides-on-his-ability-to-adapt-141231410.html

Anquan Boldin was a monster QB at Pahokee and was actually lied to by Bobby Bowden and was told that he would be a QB at FSU and was a WR his whole career, and has had a very successful NFL career at WR b/c of his experience perfecting his WR skills in college. (In this example, Bowden is like Saban, just telling the recruit what he wants to hear just to land them and do whatever they want with them once they are on campus)

Miami is just being honest with Flowers, he should respect that and think really hard about how the possibilities switching positions now could help him in the future.

I can almost guarantee Flowers will not be a QB in the NFL, so he could play QB in college and have fun, and when draft time comes along, he is going to have to change positions to WR or DB and chance being taken in the 4th or 5th round if he is lucky.
Where if he would have played DB or WR in college he has a chance to be taken in the 1st - 3rd round with his athleticism and playmaking ability. IMO this kid along with Treon Harris are ******** themselves out of possible millions of $$$$$ in the future by being so adamant on staying at QB even though neither is over 5'11.

Young man, if you want to play QB at all cost, so be it. Your life to live. But, if you think for a moment Bama will use you at QB at anytime other than scout squad pretending to be an opponent's dual threat runinnng qb, then you have not been paying attention. They are not going to change the style that has brought 3 NC in five years just for you. Saban wants qbs that do what they are told. It has worked! Would you change that if you were Bama's coach and risk your $5 million plus a year?
The U also has had success only with pocket passers. That is its DNA. Harris and Morris are pocket passers as were every NC qb. If you want to go to The U, great but do so as safety and follow the greats to NFL. If you want to be QB, great, go to a school that actually has history of qbs like yourself. Bama does not.

I would love to see him at the U where the coaches think he will fit but I understand if that's not what he wants to do. As a man you gotta go seek out what you want. However, as a young man, don't forget to at least listen to those with experience. Hopefully he listens to Golden and thinks a little bit more about his future than just being the big dog qb on campus dreams.

I would show Winky Hines Ward and Anquan Boldin who were qbs and then changed position to be possible future hall of famers
