Bandy?

Dean makes Henderson a luxury. Dean has the same speed and 100x more experience. People forget CJ has less than 50 snaps at CB.

LAFF

This the only fan base who would turn away top talent because they think we have enough at the DB spot.

Now be objective here. Question for all yall. What makes him a top talent as a db? To be a top talent at a position means you've shown you can be a monster at said spot. He's shown he can be a top talent on the offensive side of the ball. Wanna argue that I'll take him in the slot all day. No complaint. As a db all he is is potentially a top talent & that's a big if. To clarify I'm not saying he won't end up as ****. I'm just saying he's a huge question mark cause all were going off is intangibles

Didn't you say you played for Butch? His whole deal...and the thing he did better than anyone, possibly of all time...was projecting a kid 3 years down the line. As DMoney and others have said, this kind of speed plus the tools (long arms, dangerous with the ball, etc.) make him a no brainer. I personally think he is a kid that at worst is a dangerous returner and someone you throw in the slot if he doesn't have the awareness to be a corner.

Or do you disagree with that?

Yes.I definitely disagree because as I've said in another thread all situations are unique from another. This isn't butch days. We aren't at deaths doorstep. We don't have three years to wait on this kid. We both know if Richt signs this kid who we all know is not gonna contribute basically for **** till his junior year yall will be calling for Richt's head & calling CJ everything short of God's child for being such a bum. Besides that 3 years won't help us any.the legit window for him is next year. Then pardon the pun cause in 18 them savages get here & they Are game ready as freshman in most instances. His ceiling doesn't come close to those. That's my problem. I'm saying all this but unfortunately I think yall will be happy & he ends up here. So we'll find out who's right. Personally I'd love to be wrong
Never will I wish bad for a cane.
I completely disagree with your line of reasoning.

If anything, us not being on death's doorstep allows us the time to develop a raw kid like Henderson. We don't need him to play next year because we're not hurting for scholarships. Every one doesn't need to contribute right away like you needed when Butch had heavy sanctions.

This is a take 100% of the time--elite measureables that project into a top tier corner. How do you figure Henderson's ceiling isn't close to the 2018 kids? With his testing numbers his ceiling at the very least is as high as all of those guys. Do you question his toughness? Because he played RB. And you can't be completely soft playing RB. Whether you're a scat back, all-purpose or bruiser. I saw his highlight tape. He wasn't only running jet sweeps to the outside.

You pay coaches to coach players up. You give Rumph a player with Henderson's measureables and there's no reason he shouldn't turn him into a top 2 round corner.

Bama recruiting him hard but y'all think he isn't physical? Come on now.. cut the sh*t bra. Since when did they not recruit a physical db

What makes you say bama is recruiting him hard bruh? Honestly I doubt he's a take right now. I'd bet he's only a back up plan incase they can't get someone ahead of him OR they see him as a luxury that helps pull the 100% definite take & priority next year in jobe...

Who knows, but Brown & Averrett are returning at CB for Bama so that has to help us if they are.

Broke, I'm not a fire Rumph guy (yet), but if you don't see the issues with him not even being able to get a sniff from talented guys he was just coaching several months ago, then you're cutting him slack that he doesn't deserve.

Don't know if there's a particular reason that you like him or want to protect him, but his failure at the guys from his own school has put everyone on alert about his recruiting abilities.

A big part of the job is successfully recruiting, something which so far he's fallen well short of. Time will tell, but we can't have year after year of whiffing on talented defensive backs. Personally if it was up to me, I'd give him one more season to show he can bring in talent, top-notch talent.

Coach Rumph "deserves slack" and RESPECT bc he coached up a group that everyone thought was going to be a weakness, into a strength on this team. Oh and also the fact that hes a Cane. Who are you btw?? Lol a nobody just some entitled fxggot that thinks you have some sort of valid opinion on this subject. Lol i bet most of you fake *** clowns were on Rumphs nuts when he played too. Coaching is definitely more important, especially for a program thats just starting out, but why don't we know that already?

I'm sorry the real world doesn't work based on your linear one dimensional entitled slave master thought process. Not every player wants to go to college with the same hc they played for in high school. Also there are players that have other reasonings that play more of a factor beyond what college their high school hc now works for.

If you think Coach Rumph was hired by Richt only to help with one high school lol proves how clueless you really are. Coach Rumpus reputation as a great high school hc and overall reputation in the sfl community are bigger reasons.

His recruiting prowess can't be judged until the program settles in. Most of our coaches aren't getting everyone they wanted bc they're just getting here dumbass. Other schools like Clemson have been cemented for 8+ years and have been winning. So lol at you coming off like you just checked somebody your post just proves youre just another panicky soft shouldered bxtch *** clown on this site.

You think you're entitled to demand Rumph fix all the cb depth issues in one year when it took 4 years to cause that problem?? Miami's recruiting class is currently ranked 13th by ESPN so why do you bxtch like its the end of the world? More than likely we will finish ranked inside the top 10 so save the bs. We're not going to get everybody we want deal with it or kill yoself.

Who am I? I'm an anonymous poster on a fan site. Who are you? You're a silly bītch all desperately up in his feelings for an employee at the University, writing crazy uneducated shīt, about "slave masters".

Give me a break.

Honestly I'm not much of a fan of either as I think they both have big holes. If I had to choose I'd say Edwards cause atleast he starts out being physical & knowing the basics to playing db already. If he fails at CB which he may he'd have a bright future at free(& at worst give us quality depth)

He ain't coming, but I would love to have Henderson. His junior film was one of the most ridiculous highlight films I've seen in a long time. Go watch it and count the TDs. Heck the first three or four minutes are of him scoring TDs. All of this is moot though because he's not signing with UM. My guess is he just wants more intrigue when he places the hats on the table. I base that off of him being a mope the last time he visited UM.

Which ever has more talent.... If we could get minimally talented CBs to perform the way they did this year(not Corn), imagine the upside of a 6'0 4.3running corner... And wasn't Henderson new to the position this year too?

Like the coaches not giving up, but this is between Alabama and Florida. He's at Alabama this weekend, and Florida for his last OV. He strikes me as all Gators, but likes the attention he gets from Alabama just cause it's Bama.

I'm sure he is, they only have like 4 spots left

Alabama has four defensive backs in its 2017 class thus far, although 4-star junior college cornerback commit Jhavonte Dean isn’t likely to end up with the Tide come National Signing Day.

This weekend it will host 4-star corner Christopher Henderson (CJ) on an official visit – the only official visitor expected in Tuscaloosa.

“They just told me I’m a top priority,” Henderson told BamaOnLine ahead of his visit. “They don’t have all their DBs committed.”

“We usually just talk about how much they need me and stuff. DBs are a top priority and stuff like that.”

Mario Cristobal was Henderson’s primary recruiter for Alabama. Earlier on Friday 247Sports’ Ryan Bartow reported Cristobal would be taking over as the co-offensive coordinator at Oregon.

It’s all water under the bridge for Henderson.

“He told me he was going to see with his agents if he had better offers after the game,” Henderson said. “So I'm guessing Oregon was better for him. I can't argue with that.”

Later on Friday evening Henderson, a one-time Miami commit, is expected to arrive in Tuscaloosa.

“Looking forward to the atmosphere,” he said. “See if I feel comfortable at the school. See if I end up going there or not. Just see how it is around football season there. I’ve only been there during the summer.”

Henderson has a Top 3 of Alabama, Florida and Miami.

He will visit Gainesville, the 100 percent 247Sports Crystal Ball favorite, next week.

Henderson’s favorite part about Alabama?

“How they’ve been winning recently and how they develop their players,” he said.

At 6-foot-1, 175 pounds, Henderson is rated the No. 15 cornerback and the No. 135 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.

He plans to announce a decision on National Signing Day.

Personally I've noticed one thing about 247. Other than the maid cane dude they are all just liars. It's gotten to a cane sport level & that's sad. They just want clicks.

We don't need speedy cornerbacks. We have 3 guys in the 4.3-4.4 range and they all garbage. We need guys with some skill

who runs 4.3s and 4.4s??? curious

Ryan Mayes (4.37), Michael Jackson (4.38), Malek Young (4.4) and Terrance Henley (4.41).

LMAO if you think those kids run anywhere close to this times.

Malek and henley do the other two not so sure
