But really, unless we have a perfect season context and style points ultimately matter. GT/Deion pulled 3.75m viewers Friday night of week 1 last year. We’ll have a lot of eyes on us. Set the tone early. We slept walked early on in a number of games last year, time to move past that and control games vs these ****** teams from the jump.

I’m glad it’s the first game where Mario can take the team out a day or two early to acclimate them to the difference in time…

Look at the kickoff time.

our first game is ion the road We’ll win for sure but it might not be by 24. They have entire off season to plan against us. They’ll have the refs , crowd and everyone else against us . We win by 14 I’ll be happy.

True but since it’s the 1st game of the season, maybe the team will have more time in CA to adjust to the time zone. Different when it’s a cross country game during the season.

If people believe we’re going to win by 30+, I think they are going to be disappointed. Week 1 is always a crap shoot. Stanford is a disciplined team with some decent talent, especially in the trenches.

I expect a slow start. Their team and fan base will be juiced up, but we’ll pull away in the second half. I’ll say we win by 17-24 points. Don’t see us blowing them out completely.

I get it but they get to go out earlier than normal because it is week one Mario has already said so

Also, it’s on Friday night and it’s essentially an exclusive window. I think there’s one other ****** game going on the entire country’s gonna be watching this game. It’s a good moment to start putting the perception in voters heads to make sure that you’re as high up as possible, getting into all the stupid bull**** later on in the season when the college football playoff committee goes.

Yes, we should win, but you should still make it a statement and that also includes getting all the starters out in the early third-quarter, if not by halftime
