Miami opens as a 20.5-point favorite over Duke

The folks over at FanDuel like Miami's chances against the Duke Blue Devils next weekend. FanDuel has released their opening lines for Week Ten, and your No. 6 Hurricanes have opened as 20.5-point favorites over the Blue Devils. The over/under is set at 56.5.

Duke (6-2) lost to SMU by a final score of 28-27 on Saturday. The Blue Devils previously lost to the Mustangs and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Their six victories this season came against Elon, Northwestern, UConn, Middle Tennessee, North Carolina, and Florida State. Miami (8-0) is coming off a win over in-state rival Florida State Seminoles.

This season, Miami is 4-4 ATS in their 8-0 campaign, with the Canes failing to cover against FAMU, Virginia Tech, California, and Florida State.

On the other side, Duke is 5-2-1 ATS this season. They failed to cover against UConn and Elon. ESPN’s Football Power Index gives Miami a 90.7 percent chance to beat the Blue Devils.

The OL is the one struggling to see it

Said it before but our oline struggles with stunts.. Passing guys off and these arent even the elite dlines that we will see in future..

I avent watched much Duke D, does Manny still throw old school cover 3 zones behind his blitzes? If so, Ward will cook him.. I would assume everyone will want to man up our WR as we dont really scare guys deep for rest of season..

I'm expecting a game just like FSU. Just run the ball, they wont be able to stop it. We will cover if we run the ball.

Unless Manny's had some sort of epiphany, there's a reason his defenses at three different schools in three different power conferences have set futility records for most single-game rushing yards allowed. Run right at his havoc bro defense, TCB and call it a day.

This is way too high, objectively. That said this is probably the most favorable spot for us in a while. I just don’t think Duke is good or what theyre decent at putting much pressure on us. But with our D, we haven’t proven we’re 20+ spread good against any p4 competition.

If Miami runs the ball well again, I think they really stabilize the Duke defense and limit just how exotic they can be defensively

Dukes offense is terrible!!!!!!

If Miami doesn’t turn the ball over more than 1 time and they aren’t sleepy along the first half, they cover.

Should be another 35-10 or 41-13 type game as long as Cam/offense doesn’t turn the ball over.
