Miami opens as a 20.5-point favorite over Duke

The folks over at FanDuel like Miami's chances against the Duke Blue Devils next weekend. FanDuel has released their opening lines for Week Ten, and your No. 6 Hurricanes have opened as 20.5-point favorites over the Blue Devils. The over/under is set at 56.5.

Duke (6-2) lost to SMU by a final score of 28-27 on Saturday. The Blue Devils previously lost to the Mustangs and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Their six victories this season came against Elon, Northwestern, UConn, Middle Tennessee, North Carolina, and Florida State. Miami (8-0) is coming off a win over in-state rival Florida State Seminoles.

This season, Miami is 4-4 ATS in their 8-0 campaign, with the Canes failing to cover against FAMU, Virginia Tech, California, and Florida State.

On the other side, Duke is 5-2-1 ATS this season. They failed to cover against UConn and Elon. ESPN’s Football Power Index gives Miami a 90.7 percent chance to beat the Blue Devils.

Duke players have to be completely dejected after giving away a game to SMU where they got 6 TO's. Could easy be a UM blowout.

Well we’re going to learn if Ward can pick up blitzes in 6 days. Regardless we’re too talented not to do to Duke what we did to the Noles.

Not touching these big lines anymore. Cant count on the D and if we decide to pound the rock it drains the clock, making less possessions for Cam

Was lucky to get -21.5 for FSU but that’s it for me, lol

Duke beat FSU and had 180 yards of offense at 3 yards per play. That is not easy to accomplish

Ward doesn’t need to pick it up.
He is good a recognizing it.

Public is absolutely hammering Duke, and the line moved to the canes (-21.5 on hard rock).

I’ve already locked in the canes to cover and will likely add to it.

Yea I’ve gotten to the points IF I want to bet the Canes I bet the overs….

I locked in -20.5 for the Noles game so I was safe. But these big lines are definitely difficult to cover if we have to rely on run game. But Duke qb is cheeks so hard to see them exploiting our weaker secondary.
