I don't remember ever seeing anything quite like this at one position. This is just plain bizarre.

Not a big loss. I hope the kid gets well soon.

Better Talent will have to step up and play.

If we had better talent ready to step up and play, Gordinier wouldn't have been expected to get a lot of PT you idiot. Nice try though.

It wasn't the opening kickoff. He played Lb on famus second drive and appears to have injured it on the 14-0 kickoff as he didn't play after it.

Feel terrible for this kid. Tore his meniscus in his knee 1st few minutes of state championship game senior year and played the entire game.
Nobody gave this kid a shot. White kid from NJ and he was out there second series. He'll be back. Don't bet against this kid.

Smith and Perry were expected to play a lot too. I'm not knocking Gordy. Smith and Perry are much more talented than Gordinier.

This sucks but I love love love our 3 starters and when Owens makes it back it will be huge. Smith and Perry will be ballers too. Just cannot have another injury at this spot though. Gordinier imo is less talented then Smith or Perry though so it could of been worse in terms of the team but I feel awful for the kid as he is Cane thru and thru.

3 freshman starting LBs(regardless of how talented) and Mike Smith, Charles Perry, Terry McCray, and Darrion Owens(who still isn't ready) as the depth. Absolutely terrible. Thanks to those idiots Young and Grace.

Except they're not....

You are entitled to that opinion. IMO, Smith and Perry are better talents.

they might be better athletes but i think Gordy understands the position better at this point.

I agree with that. By game 4, Smith and Perry will mentally be where we need them to be.

Pete, what are Grace's chances for his appeal? Can Carter play LB? Is it too late to pick up anyone else?
Here is what Pete said on Twitter:
Sorry to burst your bubble #Canes fans, but it is highly unlikely that Jermaine Grace comes back. I see what he's posting, but not happening
