Miami lands commitment from 2027 ATH DeMarcus DeRoche

Just when recruiting seems to be settling down as the season draws closer, Miami goes out and lands another commitment in the form of 2027 DeMarcus DeRoche.

Listed at 6-foot-6, 210 pounds, the Cardinal Gibbons two-way product earned an offer earlier this summer following UM's Prospects Day.

At the high-school level DeRoche has played across the board from TE to LB and DE, and is a three-sport athlete --- competing in basketball and track alongside football.

Last season he racked up seven sacks and five touchdowns, demonstrating his ability on both sides of the ball.

Already listed as a four-star prospect, DeRoche's stock will only rise with his high-ceiling athleticism and positional versatility.

The Hurricanes beat out the likes of Florida, Auburn and Louisville for the jumbo-athlete as he becomes the fifth commit in their 2027 class.

Probably saw the Dollar offer and had to tighten up.. Not same athletic profile..
