Miami and coach Jai Lucas have been actively seeking top talent in the 2026 basketball class by extending an offer to four-star shooting guard Austin Goosby.

Goosby announced on his Instagram that he received an offer from the Hurricanes staff, stating, "I am blessed to receive a D1 offer from the University of Miami!"Goosby is a 6-foot-5, 190-pound prospect in the class of 2026.

He is currently ranked as the No. 39 recruit in the 247Sports Composite rankings. The 247Sports rankings place Goosby as the No. 30 player in the nation, the 4th shooting guard in his class, and the No. 2 player in Texas.

He has also received offers from teams such as Miami, Texas, Baylor, BYU, Florida State, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, SMU, Texas A&M, and UCLA, among others.

Goosby is garnering significant attention from the Texas Longhorns, particularly since his older brother, Trevor Goosby, is an offensive lineman for them. 247Sports currently has a crystal ball prediction for him to commit to Texas.

Goosby earned the Most Valuable Player award in the Nike EYBL 17U All-Circuit, averaging 16.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 5.0 assists while coach Jai Lucas was in attendance.
