Top greatest wrestlers all time

the rubric: career length, in-ring ability, promo skills, draw,

1. Ric Flair
2. Shawn Michaels
3. Hulk Hogan (note: his career length, promo skills, and draw overcompensate for his lack of in-ring ability in a major way)
4. Stone Cold Steve Austin
5. Sting
6. Bret Hart
7. HHH
8. John Cena
9. The Rock
10. Randy Savage
How can this list even exist without one of the greatest champions of his generation!

IMO - I am a very untrained eye. I see what I see with very amateur eyes. 2 things I see in the clips of Mensah:

1.) The OLine is not great. BUT ... He doesn't need much time. Really quick wrist (Lamar Jackson's type). Plenty of arm strength, doesn't need the OLine to block for 4 seconds or more. Nice accuracy on the throws but also a lot of busted coverage. Feels like Cam Ward times. Not to compare QBs but the scheme. Left defenses scratching their heads and wondering what happened.. A LOT of WIDE open dudes. Dawson scheme more than small windows throws (SPACING). Makes sense why they want so many weapons. 4 RBs that are ready to go. 8 WRs that are ready to go. Spreading the love & defenses not able to hone in on one guy all game (bracketing Mali).

2.) Duke was either winning by very little or losing to inferior teams. Having a Miami Hurricanes/Corey Heatherman defense to get the ball back is something he is not used to. Feels like '24 Cam Ward Offense with a '25 Hurricanes defense (except they will win with numbers, not 1 or 2 over powering players). Waves on top of waves is how I see this defense in 2026. Indiana style but with depth. (I know, too soon to mention). Mensah probably won't throw for 500 attempts because of our amazing running game but I bet his % goes up. His footwork gets better. Touchdowns go up but INTs stay diwn. No need for off platform throws. A lot more pro style QB play.

If had to guess, our offense will probably play more in the same style it did under Ward. Pass to run, rather than this year if run to pass. Our RB room is the best it’s been since 2001-02. That should help with the deficiencies our OL will have.

WR play should be better too. Better athletes, younger guys improving etc. We hardly utilized the RPO this year. Whether is was called and Beck just didn’t run it I don’t know. I don’t grind tape like that. But I’d imagine a healthy dose is coming this year. Mensah to Toney off RPO could be lethal.

I wouldn’t try bottling Mensah up too much honestly. I’d let him improvise when it’s needed. Just let the kid play ball and not make it too complicated. Duke doesn’t have near the athletes we do.

I think it’s natural to see some Cam in his game

When I first saw Cam throwing the ball at WSU it was just so effortless. His arm angles and the way the ball comes out you just shake your head where it ends up

Mensah definitely has that as well

You just kinda shake your head like “how”

Miami is about to average 40 points per game

Man....insane stuff, some absolute dimes off his back foot, weird arm angles. Also rainbows into a bucket 30-40yds. Some of those basic throws could easily go in the 'good' category too....

They didn't 'manufacture' sht for him either. Not like hes getting tunnel screens to Toney like he will...

I think a lot of people are scared to throw the Cam comparison out there and for good reason. But it’s obviously there.

Mensah’s arm talent just looks so pure. I’m not expecting some record breaking offense. But I’d thoroughly shocked if we aren’t T10 in the country next year. Just fits this team and skill players we have so well. Beck was always a different fit, not necessarily bad just not what is ideal for our scheme.

I live in Washington state and saw cam play for multiple years before he went to Miami. Mensah is not Cam, YET! But he can be. That's were coaching comes into play. Cam was not the Cam we know now when he arrived at Miami. I think the same can be said for Mensah. Growth, Maturity, surrounded by talent, coaching. The guy that shows up tomorrow is not the same guy Game 1 and not the same QB that will be playing in the playoffs. Footwork is the #1 problem I see and would want corrected ASAP! I think having a better OLine will do that. Ease his mind and grow the trust that he needs to stand in the pocket and know that he isn't going to get hit.

The attribute I love most: Off centered, moving pockets, on the run throws! Dude is money on those throws. He puts the ball anywhere he wants. BIGGEST difference i think we will see between Beck & Mensah. Breaking tackles of a free runner or busted protection. Play not dead. Keeping eyes down field.

Him throwing to Tony, with that level of accuracy, putting him in stride after the catch, is going to be insane. I see 2024 offense with more explosive skill players.

Watching all the plays we dont have in the playbook and hoping some of this spaghetti noodle **** Shannon throws on the wall sticks and looks just as good.
The playbook was limited because Carson struggled driving the ball at time. Mensah doesn’t have that problem. I fully expect to see the offense look more like 2024.

2024 vs 2025
QB Cam Ward - Darian Mensah
HB Damien Martinez. - Mark Fletcher
WR Jacolby George. - Cooper Barkate
WR Isaiah Horton. - Cam Vaughn
WR 4 Sam Brown. - Vandrevius Jacobs
SLOT Xavier Restrepo - Malachi Toney
TE Elijah Arroyo - Luka Gilbert or Gavin Mueller

Our offense will put up massive numbers with the personnel we can put out there. I see those back shoulders to Moore, Zone beaters to Barkate, deep shots and seam stressers to Vaughn and Jacobs…and thats before we even deploy the best football player in America 😭… and we have dawgs in the backfield. I’m going to start telling so many lies when this is finalized
