"Commitment" simply means reservation these days. Thats obvious. And this is really our fault. The guy wants to play wide receiver. Franklin is telling him he can play wide receiver. But Golden says corner, and the name tag says corner. he acknowledges that its a little thing, but how can he possibly trust that we will let him play receiver? And if we wont let him play receiver, and thats the most important factor for him, he should go somewhere else and I dont blame him. We should be straight with him one way or the other. Personally I'd say he can have a shot at receiver and if it doesnt work out he will move. But if for some reason we are stubborn enough to not give him a shot at receiver then tell him that. Bull****ting gets us nowhere and its bush league.

The thing is, recruits can say whatever they want about a situation. Miami cannot respond or talk about a recruit because its a violation.

Why the **** would he lie about something that dumb?

You really asking this question??? :ibisroflmao:

Care to provide an answer?

I say pull his ship send him packing peace out Travis. "Your exploring your options" so are we offer's off the table. That's how that conversation should go. I'm all for a kid exploring their options if thats the case don't commit to a program explore your options and then decide. JMO

If he wants to block for a running QB and catch an occasional quick slant vs coming here and competing in the vertical passing attack we feature, be my guest.

I'd say drop the kid.

At least he didn't do what drake harris just did to Michigan State. That's really damaging to a program.

These are 16,17, and 18 year old kids. You think they are tell the truth every time a mic is in their face? A few years ago there was a kid that had a signing day ceremony with CAL and ORE hats on the table, and media in attendance. The kid didnt have any scholly offers period. How dumb is that?

Rudolph is a really good WR but I think Golden has it right he would be an even better corner. He is 6-1 very quick and ran a 4.6 electronic timed 40 with minimal training.

I thought this was obvious to anyone remotely familiar with recruiting. lol. Cmon, you all are smarter than that. The question about asking why kids lie comes from the same vein as the 2% who still think Dalvin Cook committed to CLemdump 452080 years before LOI day because of its "rich and storied tradition" or because of "Dabo Sweeney's legendary Hall of Fame coaching".

Did anyone seriously think Travis Rudolph was not a soft as **** commit? Does anyone seriously think that THIS mixup is why he has UF out in front?

What did drake do?

MSU was recruiting for two years. Solid athlete 5* PG and 4* WR. He "committed to MSU" two years ago. His plan was to play football and basketball. Then two days ago out of the blue the kid said "Since I'm just playing football now I want to play at a bigger school, win a national championship." That's cool and all but man it would suck to be a MSU fan. I thought we got burned with a few guys from the 2013 cycle. That one has to sting. Bigger school? No there are not many bigger schools that.

Here's the biggest schools in the country by enrollment
1. Arizona State 60,000
2. UCF 60,000
3. Ohio State 55,000
4. Texas A&M 53,000
5. Texas 52,000
6. Minnesota 52,000
7. FIU 50,000
8. Florida 50,000
9. Michigan State 49,000
10. Penn State 45,000

The Big Ten is crappy for football. EVERY school in the big ten except NW has greater than 30,000 students enrolled. Even the schools they just added in Maryland and Rutgers have enrollment numbers above 35,000. Not the same for most other conferences. So if you're main goal is going to a bigger school to party/drink/ mess with the women why not got to a big school where there are more women. Now If the objective is football go play ball at a "football school".

Now I'm not naive enough to say he meant it like that. He probably meant to say I want to play for a NC contender. Which is cool but Michigan State really got burned there. lol I feel for their team and it's not because I'm from Detroit. I had the same feeling when we lost Thomas/Collins/Kirkland.

He means a more relevant school but that does suck though i think he just doesnt want to go there because if he's a 5* pg he has a future in both sports so its just an excuse to leave

You all need to be asking, "why isn't Golden and Franklin on the same page?" Instead of defending this coaching staff or bashing the kid, read what he said. He knows what position he wants to play but he comes to your camp and you give him a sticker with a position he has told you he didn't want to play. Who is running this operations? Sounds like some inexperience showing its head. Have your coaches on the same page and be straight or wait until he signs then pull the switch-a-too! Bunch of rookies, embarrassing!

Golden f**king up as usual I see. Dammn the way **** looks like we'll be playing with a bunch of kids from NJersey and ****...

Wasnt Golden getting praise a month ago for stealing 2 top prospects and now he's a **** up?

The positions belong to the University of Miami son... Not you. Get over yourself.

I think we cut our ties with this young man... Not because of his infidelity, but because he just stated publicly that our staff are liars and untrustworthy. Can't have that going around.

laughable

Example #2. Referring to my post in the Phillips thread. Lot of hate on Rudolph in here. Ended up being a **** of a WR. Recruiting always changing, liked Miami, then UF, liked Bama, ended up at FSU. Recruiting not over till the LOI is signed my friends.

I love the 2016 class and not to get anyone worried, but staff has to continue to put in work to continue it and keep it.

That I agree with, but I was meaning more towards as a prospect. Lot were saying corner, kid ended up going from underrated 3 to a 4/5 and blowing up in all star game.
