Never left Nike....born in the 70s raised up in the 80s and 90s. All we knew was Nike. Its all coming together like we never spend 20 plus years in purgatory!!

No different than the tv contract- but that’s an ACC conference decision- Echeveria knew we didn’t have the gravitas or clout to sway anyone in the conference and no leverage to hold out for a better deal b/c we weren’t “ascendant” and our brand had taken a hit

Honestly I always liked these 06 or whatever yr they were introduced as a pure design better than the 01 unis - particularly for the green. The white and orange of these were kinda meh to me, but mane these greens were imo the best we've worn of this color... 01 is better for white especially imo. I think our current orange jersey is actually perfect tbh. And Nike should remake their own of this current with relatively little changes.
So give me a reimagined version of: 06 greens, todays orange, and 01 whites, and 2014 grey ones. Plus the random Alt Whites (loved the pro combat white designs and even the Miami ice ones from Adidas), and Black alts (Miami nights have mostly all been good from Adidas imo - especially the 2017 and 2024, versions).

On the CIS podcast this morning, D$ and AR were talking about the Adidas jersey release and just glazing Adidas and their merch. But then Barry Jackson drops the real scoop of Miami and Nike agreeing on a deal, D$ hops back on and does another show claiming that he heard information about the Miami/Nike partnership back before Miami played Stanford in week 1. Sure, dude.

I mentioned the ACC contract because it contradicts that advice comment. In a vaccuum, that advice is great. In reality, it lacks nuance and doesn't account much for foresight. The rest of what you wrote regarding AutoPen Dan is accurate, but not really germane to the point I was trying to make which was my doubts about a 10 year deal being in the best long term interest of the school. As was already pointed out by some others, I guess ten years is sort of the benchmark for these apparel deals which makes my initial concerns sort of moot.
