Briggs is probably hardly going to play barring something to Lofton. He’s a large WR. Need an inline blocker in 11/12. Asking that of Mueller is a lot as a true FR. Don’t be surprised if Bauman (even though he’s a bad run blocker *again not even talking abt the punt safe*) comes back just for depth at that role
I do find it ironic that people have been bashing Dawson for years now for ignoring the TE but now who we have out there is an issue when we are 7-8 deep at WR
just gonna let yall know as i have since last year.....Luka when seen wasnt really a blocking te he wasnt all that good at that. He was more of a receiving threat at his size.
Before we go any further can someone please tell us what Mario said about Scroggins….we need to get to the bottom of this

We have scroggins! He’s healthy From his off-season surgery and will be participating full in fall camp. Hopefully this is the last time this needs to be answered because I don’t understand why people keep thinking he’s hurt.
I dont know why people keep asking either. I literally said I heard Mario wrong in the radio interview 7 pages ago but here again posters are still keeping the narrative up. Smh.

I mean, yes and no. We brought in Bauman from the portal last year. He was obviously extended the offer to fill a role, and even though he wasn't very good, we did bring a body in to play.
This year, it's literally Lofton and a bunch of kids who have never seen the football field. We also ask our TEs to block a ton, and yes I know Briggs put on 35 pounds, but I don't think Dawson and Alex are going be keen on that kid trying to throw wham blocks on ACC edge players. Carver has never played. CMC is a edge convert. Mueller is a true freshman who is also very new to the sport.
There is the biggest runway on the planet for Lofton to play about 85% of the TE snaps this year, if he's up to seizing it.

For what those two players cost, the staff definitely made the right call (at the time)
We didnt even try and they went to ACC schools.. Cal did a good job in portal to surround JKS with weapons WR, TE, RB.. They will be fun watch late night ACC, I dont know about the talent on defense but HC is defensive guy so I just assume they can be competent but might be a year off.
