Miami Hurricanes wide receiver Malachi Toney grabbed the No. 1 spot on the SportsCenter Top-10 Plays.
Toney's catch happened at the end of the first quarter, making a surreal reception over a FAMU defender. While it was an amazing grab, several Hurricanes fans think it was not even the best catch of the night. Freshman wide receiver Vance Spafford also made an unbelievable touchdown catch over two defenders.
It's no surprise Toney received the No. 1 spot. He did it last season, and now he is doing it this season, but better. He is one of the most electrifying players in college football. His ability to make hard cuts and to run away from defenders makes him a one-of-one player.
With the game being a blowout, Toney only played the first half. He finished the night off with four receptions for 96 yards and one score. In two games, he has recorded a total of 16 receptions for 330 yards and four scores, averaging 20.6 yards per receptions.
During his freshman season, Toney exploded for 1,211 yards on 109 receptions and 10 scores. He led the Hurricanes wide outs in receiving yards and touchdowns.
