I'd gladly take DJ Jacobs in this class, but I'm not sure that Dawson is far behind from a pure physical traits perspective. The kid is a freak show talent.

The crazy thing is that he was easily beating blue-chip tackles at camp already. He’s not just a combine guy, he has a natural feel as a rusher.
As to the "combine guy" thing, any jumps for him or any of the shuttle/3cone drills?

I always take these HS results with a major grain of salt... 40 most of all. But whenever these dudes post elite jumps, its suspect. But if he's got the great jumps, a good 10 yard, and if he has a good 3cone..... Edge all the way. I'd say he's got a Randy Gregory Build. But we will see if he stays more slim or ends up more 250lbs+ in 1.5yrs of S&C.... don't particularly get the Sonny Styles comp, besides athleticism I guess... Styles played Safety throughout HS. Dawson already plays Edge/LB.

Lmao those size numbers are dumb AF! This kid is 16!

sytles was a lb ... this kid is a de, so the comparisons are a little off imo ... never the less his measurables are legit

Dawson made a massive leap from three-star prospect to the No. 102 overall recruit nationally. The in-state prospect flew under-the-radar for most of the offseason. However, Miami saw him during the spring evaluation period, offered and closed with his commitment soon after.

At 6-foot-3, 215 pounds, Dawson is one of the most intriguing prospects nationally. Along with his interesting frame, Dawson runs a 4.66 40, has a 38.5-inch vertical and a 10’7 broad jump. He’s also just 16 years old, making him one of the younger prospects in the cycle.

He as the athletic profile to be a monster. I see Hetherman using him the say way he uses Lightfoot.
