Live Thread Updates: Mark Richt 11th-12th grade Upperclassmen Camp

I’ll be arriving on campus close to 10:00 AM. Camp is running around till about 3:00 PM today.

I expect a few commitments today for Miami in the 2019 class and potentially one for 2020.

There will be some top tier 2021 & 2022 prospects competing today with the upperclassmen.

I believe its a private, invitation only barbecue for selected prospects and commits. The idea is to begin bonding and forming a team identity.

2020 Glades Central WRs James Davis and Ja’Vontae Williams are out here working today. Williams was a standout during one of the 7on7s the other weekend. Davis is Travis Benjamin’s cousin.

2019 4* ATH Josh Sanguinetti is not competing today.

 

Jucos help a lot of SEC schools, and they were very helpful for us back in the day. Eddie Brown, Tez, McKinnie, McDougle, Andrew Williams, etc.

Eddie Brown was definitely a JUCO. 83 and 84 were his only seasons at the U.

2022 TE/ATH Jake Johnson (Max Johnson younger brother) has been very impressive in drills today with TE’s. Almost as tall as Will Mallory and has not played a down of football in HS yet.

Coach Jon Richt has taken 6 QBs to the side as sort of an elite group now. Max Johnson, Devon Lingle, Jeff Sims, Anthony Richardson are among those 6.

I like lingle a lot he's very polished. He's Payton new QB I believe. They should do a lot of damage together.

 

7on7 has started. Jon Richt top 6 QBs are throwing now.

 

Anthony Richardson has been impressive throwing the ball. He’s raw but he has all the tools.

 

2022 TE Jake Johnson has been very good in 7on7 play.

Max Johnson has the best arm and physique here of all the QBs. He needs a bit of refinement as he’s overthrown some balls today, but he can make all the throws.
