Kool knows El Jefe is going to get poached sooner or later. Putting in that work for future DC. Dude is wrecking it.
I agree. But I've also heard of the synergy of the defensive staff, they're all very close. Could keep them together for a while. Kool and Manny essentially are co-DCs when game planing.
Must be a fun pitch:
- I coached up relative unknowns into superstar college players who got PAID
- You're a superstar HS player, so imagine what I can do with you?
- Our DC is obsessed with TFLs, so you're not going to have to think as much and just play.
- I'm willing to play true Frosh and young guys if they work hard and have talent. Joe Jackson had about 8 sacks for me this year.
- We already have talent, so if you're as good as you think you are, you'll be in the environment that makes you a superstar college player.
- If you do that, you're going to get paid.

That would actually be a smart move. Kool is a contempt guy and would not leave while Jefe is up and coming for a HC gig, Kool and Richt can ride off into the sunset after a ship or 2 into retirement.
