I think those drills in particular are more mechanical drills than throwing drills.

They're teaching, footwork & eye discipline coming off your first read, how to hold the ball in the pocket while shuffling your feet & keeping your eyes downfield. Lots of QB's tend to drop their eyes under pressure or even worse drop the ball below shoulder length which makes them susceptible to being stripped sacked, so those drills just focus on proper ball security, keeping your eyes scanning the field & making sure you feet stay square in your drop back.

In the throwing the drills they were working on they would throw it much faster, those other drills weren't specifically for passing.
I hear you, friend. I just don't necessarily love any QB drills where the QB is holding the ball too long and then throwing it. I don't like anything that can develop the bad habit of holding the ball too long.

Everyone on every team anywhere is playing the game to win

Actions always speak louder than the words that every player and coach routinely say in interviews.

Never heard "I'm here to be average or to lose" from anyone... anywhere.....ever

I never prejudge or have expectations based on player or coach interviews.....Manny broke me of that pipe dream.

Show me. Talk is fine...but meaningless to me.

Another good article Talk may do it for some...... I'll wait to see what shows up on the field...Show me
