Following Miami's loss against the Indiana Hoosiers, the emotions were running high as the team entered the locker room. The seniors had just played their final game, and the Hurricanes players took a moment to express their gratitude to Hurricane Nation once again.
"Thank you, Canes Nation," Miami defensive back Keionte Scott said, taking a moment to appreciate the incredible journey they had during the College Football Playoffs.
Scott wrapped up his career at Miami after moving from the Auburn Tigers. In his senior year with the Hurricanes, Scott was managing a minor injury, yet he has been one of Miami's top defenders this season. By 2025, he has tallied about 64 tackles, 2 interception, 5 passes defended, 2 forced fumble, and 5 sacks while playing in the secondary. Unfortunately, Scott sustained a lower-body injury during Miami's game against Syracuse on November 8th.
I will always remember that pick-6 against Ohio State. The look on me and my dad’s face when Scott intercepted the ball was just absolutely great. I will never forget that moment, and we owe it all to Scott.
Now, Scott is shifting his attention to the NFL. Having no more college football eligibility, he is preparing for the Draft, aiming to get selected by a team. After a solid postseason performance with the Hurricanes, he has a strong chance of making a spot on a team.
