herbert should just transfer out and give us the extra scholly lol

Im hoping rivers and walker develop.
I would have to defer to the Original Cane but while it would free a spot on the 85 man roster, I don't think it frees up an IC. I've stated before that the NCAA should allow a team to net out transfers out against transfers in (as long as they're are in good academic standing) before they apply it against ICs.

According to PFF, our pass blocking is average, but run blocking is 13th in the ACC, near the bottom. The OL has made strides but they must get a lot better. Need players who can win their matchups and dominate. I didn’t see that at all against UVA, I actually saw the opposite. Rivers could be one of those guys moving forward.

Thiugh I think Zion Can play tackle, Um should definitely put Campbell and Nelson at the guard spots and kick Scaide outside to LT. I think that would solve the problem of them having centers at all 3 guards spots and it would add needed athlecticism.

Nothing that makes me think we can mount a consistent passing or running game against teams better than Pitt and Virginia. Too many comments about guys "developing" or being developmental. Rivers the only one he heaps any praise on.

I'm hoping this is the smallest OL we see in a long time.

Rivers is on the verge of breaking through, which will help. Donaldson would be a huge boost if he got under 340. From a body-type perspective, the best OL we could field for Alabama would be Zion-Donaldson-Gaynor-Rivers-Campbell with Scaife as the super-utility guy pushing Campbell.

I’m not sure. I think Kai Hebert and another ol whose name escapes me right now opted out but didn’t think it was Reed? I think Reed was going to transfer but then came back. Also thought I read somewhere that Reed was second team.
but it’s late for me so...who knows?😉

Kai Leon-Herbert and Zalon'tae Hillery.

Yeah, it doesn't matter if 50 guys leave the team and free up scholarships, we can still only sign 25 recruited players/transfers (unless the NCAA opens up more ICs for transfer kids stuck in the Portal).

It's just tiresome for some fans to "celebrate" a kid leaving the team in order to "free up another scholarship" when we have IC limitations on how many kids we can bring in to replace the ones who leave.

The interesting note about Washington how even though he's #2 on the depth, a lot of guys will be playing RT before he gets a look.

Looks like they are grooming Rivers to be the RT for the next couple years and i'm happy with that

Why on God’s green earth would you start the Clark/Scaife **** combo and have Campbell riding the bench is beyond comprehension.

With the emphasis on inside zone need to get our best three in place in the interior.

Agree. I thought he was maybe banged up a bit. thought it was weird he did not take a single snap...

Was it just me, or did he throw Barry under the bus big time?
Dude got a job with the Packers as a Senior Analyst despite last season. Proving, once again, it's not what you know it's who you know once you break into the coaching ranks.

So you don't think RT Jarrid Williams will come back to miami for an extra year.
I think he still needs to work on his consistency and blocking at the 2nd level.

Go Canes
