Four-star cornerback Kosci Barnes has officially set his commitment date after taking multiple visits to top Power Five programs, including Miami.

Kosci Barnes will make his college decision on July 26th at 7:20 p.m. Eastern Time, since he's from North Carolina. So mark your calendar.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound defensive back out of Grimsley High School (Greensboro, N.C.) has narrowed his final list down to six schools: Miami, Kentucky, Mississippi State, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Rutgers.

Ranked as the No. 63 cornerback nationally by 247Sports, Barnes has drawn interest across the country. His offer list includes Miami, Louisville, Kentucky, Cincinnati, South Carolina, Rutgers, Appalachian State, Charlotte, Michigan State, FIU, James Madison, Liberty, Marshall, Old Dominion, and several others.

Last season at Grimsley, Barnes recorded 55 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, and 3 interceptions, showing off his range, physicality, and playmaking ability in the secondary.

According to 247Sports, the current Crystal Ball prediction favors South Carolina. But can Miami pull off a late push and flip the script?

We’ll find out soon enough; decision day is next week.

I mean… are we recruiting g him as a Safety?

Otherwise there is LITERALLY zero shot we want him. We have 4 CB commits AND Dopson is reclassifying which already it looks possibly ****ed trying to keep.

If he’s 6’3” 190 going into his senior year, then he can easily play here in the 205 range.

Sounds like a future Safety to me so sign him up. We need all the help we can get.

Can we stop w/ the misleading Headlines? This kid is not a 4* CB. Imma need us to do composite rankings vs. a cherry picked site.

& for the record, last I heard this kid was a heavy USCe lean, so not sure y we’re setting our calendars either way.

@DMoney

Can this kid commit to Miami? If not, then why are we wasting time with this article? Not that Trinton Breeze didn't do a good job with it.
