Former Miami athletic director Dan Radakovich is stepping into another major role in college athletics.
According to reports, Radakovich has been hired as the new Executive Director of the FBS Athletic Director Association, an organization that represents athletic directors from every Football Bowl Subdivision school. The move keeps one of the sport’s most experienced administrators at the center of college athletics as the landscape continues to evolve today.
Radakovich spent three years at Miami, serving as the Hurricanes athletic director from 2021 to 2026. During his time in Coral Gables, he played a key role in hiring Mario Cristobal, helping launch a new era for the football program. He also oversaw major investments in facilities and helped position Miami to compete in the rapidly changing world of NIL and the transfer portal.
Before arriving at Miami, Radakovich built an impressive résumé with stops at Clemson and Georgia Tech. At Clemson, he was part of one of the most successful stretches in school history, overseeing a department that won multiple national championships and consistently competed at the highest level across several sports.
His experience at three Power Conference programs made him one of the most respected athletic directors in the country, and that’s a big reason why the FBS Athletic Director Association turned to him for this position.
