Distractions is part of it. But playing at noon In front of 20k fans is always a recipe for disaster. Let’s play every game on the road from now on!
What about coming out to a packed house and still laying an egg? The difference between our road and home performances is quite odd.

We clearly weren’t ready to play FSU and couldn’t handle the adversity that we faced early on. As much as I hate to admit it, they are a pretty good team.

The QB situation was also a nightmare. We were subbing in three different guys all game long.

But ya, I have no idea why we suck so much at home.

The excitement from the sideline on the pick 6 was the most we’ve seen all season long. This team needed this win and to have some fun.

It’s been a really tough season for a multitude of reasons but having guys be that stoked and have fun is fantastic to see.

Mario's reaction to Nyjalik's penalty on fourth down when the game should have been over was priceless. But Kelly will be fine.

theyre not better than FSU on offense imo esp w DJ at QB.

their D is far better though.
I agree. I was at the ND/Clemson game. The key is slowing down the run game because DJ is not a great passer. They don’t throw downfield much at all. A lot of short stuff around the line of scrimmage. Obviously ND dominated that game, but Clemson is not as dynamic as usual on offense and its run defense isn’t quite as stout as usual. I don’t see this as a blowout game. I think it will be a grinder.

Might have been Knighton’s best game as a Cane. I know he didn’t have a splash play, but he ran really hard and was no longer getting tackled by blades of grass. He wanted to be there today.
Best part was no fumbles and he fell forward, which has been a knack on his running style. Proud of him, he did his job when we needed him the most.

Seems Diaz found a good LB. Credit where it's due.
Thank God he didnt coach him!

This is the answer to your culture question... The main playmakers are the transfers + the recruits that are being coached by Mario

"It was hard to miss all of the Class of ’22 guys making plays. We already discussed Jacurri. Anez Cooper was tossing defenders. Wesley Bissainthe is a knockback tackler and should never leave the starting lineup. Jaleel Skinner caught his first touchdown. The guys that Mario brought in last year generally seem longer and more athletic. One guy who had an uneven performance was Nyjalik Kelly. He just turned 18 last week, so some growing pains are normal."

Outside of X, Kam and maybe Leonard Taylor the team has been weak mentally. Best thing that happened to Knighton was getting benched. He finally held on to the ball. You dont reward bad habits. Thank you Mario

He was going to FSU if Diaz stayed :pgdead:

Manny didn't find ****
For most of 2021, Bissainthe was all UM. If I recall correctly, he was going to announce for UM in November, but FSU got in his ear and he pushed back his announcement. It looked like FSU took the lead after that. Bissainthe was then planning to commit to FSU, but Cristobal, who had also been recruiting him at Oregon, convinced Bissainthe to give UM another look and closed the deal. As far as I know, Oregon was so far out of contention to land Bissainthe that it's not even worth mentioning as a possible landing spot. He wasn't torn between Oregon and FSU, then decided to follow Cristobal to UM. Every school in the country wanted him. It came down to UM and FSU for his services. UM had the lead for most of the year, FSU took the lead at the very end.

You think if Diaz hadn't made Bissainthe as his top LB priority for two years and had UM in the lead for most of 2021, that when Mario got to UM he would have been able to get Bissainthe to commit to UM in the span of a couple weeks?

I said he would have 180 yards passing and 150 rushing pre game. I was off but you get the ratio. He seems like a worker to me. Acts and plays more mature than the older QBs which is a plus and an indictment. Mario's job in the offseason is to do whatever he can to bring in a OC who is not only experienced but proven with a QB with his skill sets. And for me thats Tom Herman or Mullen. You center the offense around him. Now you get your power spread. Its no question as to how Knighton had his best game of the season. When teams have to account for the QB running. He understands the read option really well and hard to tackle. 1 v 1 for the WRs on the outside as well.

Mitchell Agude is starting to come on the past few games. He was everywhere today. Antonio Moultrie was active and made up for the absence of Elijah Roberts, Jake Lichtenstein and Jared Harrison-Hunte.
Looks like Feld started working with the defense after all.

GT is a terrible football team. I am hesitant buying anything with this offense which is still extremely basic. I want to be optimistic, but does anyone think we don’t get thrashed next week?

Hopefully we can somehow get our first ACC home victory vs Pitt and become bowl eligible.

It was nice to blowout an ACC opponent.
My thoughts exactly I'll be more impressed if we can be in dogfights the next 2 games even if we lose.gt is basically one of the teams we should blowout every year when you first look at the schedule as poor as weve been playing it's good to beat them but I want to see consistency in the remaining games
