Tate is limited with that arm bruh.....u dont have to defend every throw with him. That was my biggest issue with his film u could see it immediatley when the tape went on.

Right, because there is no way Ohio State let's him leave that easily if he did.

Until Martell proves me wrong I'm going to continue to say it. Ohio State going after fields and letting Martell walk uncontested isn't a good sign ESPECIALLY when it was his very own QB coach who was promoted to HC making no zero effort to keep him.

Does perry have small hands or some? Dude seems to have a problem with the fumbles.

Enos and Barry seem to think it is a situation where they can either put Donaldson, Gaynor, and Scaife inside and have a potentially strong interior line while taking their chances on the edge, compared to keeping Scaife out on a tackle spot and having the interior be a potential weakness along with another tackle spot. It's a pick your poison type of situation and they seem set on making sure the interior is strong and they will scheme up ways to aid the tackles in pass protection.

It does make sense in a way. If Gaynor is what we think he can be, then having him with Donaldson on his left and Scaife on his right could open up some things in the run game we've been missing. It could make the running game a bit more consistent and less boom and bust. It also should minimize any immediate pressure up the middle on passing situations. Having weak tackles is not idea, but it is something you can work with a bit more than having your interior line be swiss cheese where the pressure is instantaneous at times and hard to avoid.
Better to have one part of the line completely shored up than have weak spots littered throughout the line. Should be easier for Enos to scheme around too as you've reduced your weakness down to "just" either side of the line.

He fit urban's offense but day is going away from that. Day is going to be using more pro style concepts and looking to attack outside the hashes more.

I don't care if the QB in question is Tate Martell or if it is Gino Torretta, I have been nervous about those short sideline passes ever since the days of Drunken Dennis Erickson. If we want to attack the flats, it is much safer to send a RB into the flat out of the backfield. I'm tired of our bubble screens, where the QB completes a -1 yard pass by having to throw the ball 20 yards horizontally.

Let's attack the middle of the field more in our passing game. We have some great TEs and some quick slot guys in Thomas and Harley.

The middle of the field is also where I believe the action should be. At least a lot more of it. I'm sick of seeing passes to the line of scrimmage, going nowhere. Especially when you have proven you can't, or won't, attack the middle of the field. Where the **** are they going to defend if they know full well you won't even try the middle of the field? That short crap to the sidelines.

Feels like we neglected the middle of the field nearly all of last year outside of a few instances

I was hoping Tate was a more complete QB, but he is not. He struggles because he has small hands and will continue to struggle throwing down the field.

The 3 things that Williams need to improve on is Playing Faster, Reading Defenses and Knowing the Play Book inside out. It seems like he has started to put these 3 things together.

Seriously... I always wondered why my friend Dale could throw the football further than I when we were in high school. His Richard was a bit longer too.
