Yep. Of all the news, hearing about him making plays and looking the part is probably the most exciting. Slimmed down, but still massive, and very strong and quick. I've said it since I first saw his tape. His first step is elite. Even more impressive considering his **** size.
I'm there with you Bro! Stronger and deeper we are in the trenches the better for LB'ers and DB's performance.

Matt i disagree with a coupe of your assessments. Tate was the best 11-11 today. All 3 qbs were inconsistent though.
At one point Jarren missed on 5 straight throws while 11-11.
Tate showed the best tools to keep the drive alive today imo
It may not be flashy but this may be the most important thing. We can afford to run on first. Throw an incompletion on second and then get into obvious throwing situations. Chains have to keep moving

I don’t necessarily disagree. I just don’t think anyone stood out as being the best in 11v11 that’s why i didn’t write anything.

I'm not criticizing anyone here but mannnn has the reporting on the QBs seemed like some sort of Rorschach Test. It's really like everyone is watching the same thing but coming away with sometimes wildly different interpretations.

And then we have this:

Did our DBs have a rough day in 1v1? Or does it just look that way because the 1v1 u to posted were the random ones they lost? I know this isn't all the 1v1's because there's a twitter video of Knowles being Knowles. But.. from what you saw, they won 2 reps and lost 12 (counting knowles clip).
More often then not receivers should be beating DBs in 1v1 that's just how it is

Jarren needs to find his consistency in 11 v 11.

Defense will carry this team again this year in IMO. I don’t believe in these QBs that’s much
Depends on your expectations. I think each of these quarterbacks can run a safe and efficient offense. Each one presents secondary threats to the defense and have strengths in passing (Tate big play, Kosi intermediate and Jarren's IQ and Accuracy).

I think its also a big case of them working through and perfecting what they were tasked to improve in the offseason. I think we also have to temper till things speed up for the first scrimmage. I believe, similar to what we saw in the spring, the QB's are practicing with a purpose that is not necessarily balling out but working out the kinks ala Tate and being undercenter in spring.

To reiterate I think each QB is a good choice. But it is very difficult to be patient and ask our selves to see that they are sharpening themselves rather than immediately looking for the peripheral things we are accustomed to wanting this early in camp.

In two years of varsity HS football Few racked up 1700 yards and 18 TDs. He made a few of our DBs look silly in the Orlando Spring game as well. We're really deep at receiver but I feel like Few will eventually see the field and take advantage of his chance.

Yep Few went 6 for 150 and 2tds vs american heritage in the state championship game. A game in which Surtain and Campbell were in the backfield

Tate has the best IQ of the qbs and Manny says that. Not me

how was he not noticed by anyone? was he a PWO

Thank you for that. And yes Tate has been lauded by the likes of Phil Steele as well as current and former OSU staff members for his dedication to film, the playbook and on field IQ. He has however been the most mistake prone, but to my point earlier can probably contributed to changes he is making to his game.

But as for Jarren, we can't forget that in that regard he is similar to Tate if not a bit less mature in his journey there. Jarren has also been applauded by Enos for his decision making, work ethic and relentlessly attacking the playbook.

A snippet from Jarren;s senior year HS Coach at Gwinnet:

“We put a lot on him,” Wofford said.

Central Gwinnett doesn’t use wristbands to relay plays from the sideline to the field. It’s a step Wofford skips because he wants to snap the ball and start the next play as fast as possible.

That means after each play Williams must make the next call, tell the offensive line which protection to run, know the running back’s responsibilities and the route each receiver is running. Then he must identify what the defense is doing, where the safeties line up, which linebackers might blitz.

“You have to do that in about 15 seconds,” Wofford said. “We want to snap it. Everything starts and ends with the QB.”

That’s why Wofford says Williams is more advanced than most high school quarterbacks. How many 17-year-olds call out offensive line protections on Friday nights? As he’s done previously, Williams understands the meaning and motivation of characters and grasps underlying themes.

Few beat Gurvan? Time to pull scholly lol
And Few beat Carter. I am telling you guys, Marshall Few can be a contributor. Maybe not an All American, but a solid rotational guy that can pick up some first downs at important times. Plus continue to be a solid special teams player. And a solid team player, not a cancer in the locker room. IMO Manny and staff are taking being a team player as a bigger part of recruiting evaluations. Have heard that was a big part of the limited interest in Denis and Fleming. Manny feels he can find equal athletic talent without the locker room drama queens.
