Fall Practice Summary- Day 16

The quarterbacks were working on the far side of the field, so we did not get to see much today. From what I was able to see, it seemed like N’Kosi Perry received most of the second-team reps during the media period. Tate Martell was at practice today.

I did not see Derrick Smith or Bubba Bolden working with the safeties. It seems that Derrick Smith was attending to a personal matter while Bubba Bolden was participating in orientation, along with Avery Huff.

Amari Carter has always shines brightest when coming on the blitz, and after watching the drills, it seems as if he has only improved in that aspect of his game.

Manny Diaz spent some time working hands-on with the safeties.

Al Blades hit 20 MPH.

The offense and defense were running a drill today simulating a blitzing defender and the offensive player picking up the blitz. Here are some results from that drill.

Cam Harris beat Romeo Finley
Larry Hodges beat Zach McCloud

Sam Brooks beat Michael Parrott

We did not see much of the receivers and corners going at it in 1v1s since it was on the far side of the field, but we were able to see Trajan Bandy beat KJ Osborn and Mike Harley beat Robert Knowles.

There will be no media viewing at practice tomorrow.

I hear you brother and I agree with you to a certain extent. I don’t know the circumstances. But, if the above message is true about Banda not giving him a fair competition , I could see why he’d look else where.

Carter and Hall will both be back next year. Not too many back up safeties being drafted.

Yeah and he probably sees Keontra and Bolden. Not surprised if one leaves unfortunately. Would suck for ST depth and we need Keontra and Bolden to get up to speed quickly.

Dude was balling in camp, flying around making plays.. Probably felt he should of got the nod

I think Smith has better instincts then Carter...not sure if SMith has the speed/quickness they want back there tho... Thats the only way I can contempplate SMith not starting. OF course Im not at practices or anything just my opinion

Bull... the starters/depth charts have not been announced yet.. Manny confirmed that on the J Rose interview.

Hope you're right. He's going to play a lot even if he doesn't start. We don't have much depth at Safety as it is.

Might not have been officially released but after 2nd scrimmage they started with UF prep this week. Which means scout teams and such have been made.. There is a depth chart, just hasnt been made public, if you aint on the field when coach calls out first D, then you know what time it is..

Put 11 defenders going psycho on the field and it's a different story..
