The Patriots won the SB with substitute teachers, realtors and a former lacrosse player playing WR, and only the lax player was over 6'0". The object of the game is to get open and catch the ball. Moore can do that. Sign the guys who will help you win.

Having the best QB to ever play this sport probably has something to do with that.

Dan Marino > Tom Brady.

It's Belichick, not Brady.

It's both of them

Im semi sold on Moore. If he puts up some solid stats to start out the season we need to lock it up. Just keep the pressure on for now.

Ooohhhh boy here we go with this again.....who cares who gets the credit....both are future hall of fame members....we can make a case for both being the reason.....Bill got fired at Cleveland and then was sub .500 with Bledsoe before that famous injury that opened the door for Brady....Name a great coach NOT tied with a great qb....you can't....it goes together....Montana and Walsh....Chuck Knox and Bradshaw.....Dungy and Peyton....Coughlin and Eli......

It's one thing to have an opinion but it's another thing to completely lack common sense.

If he caught 88 balls for 1200 yards as a 10th grader in 8A football then obviously he's shown the ability to make plays already, right? That's been established.
So if his numbers drastically fell during his Junior year (at a different school) then what's more likely, that he got less chances or that his ability disappeared?

Throw the level of competition thing out of the window. He played 8A football his Sophomore year. He caught 88 balls from a QB that lost his starting job to Jake Allen at Cardinal Gibbons. He also played in an offense that had no other D1 players or big play options. He wasn't a secret, he was the main target and he often attracted the oppositions best defenders.

So let's run down the list...

1. Ability to put up big numbers. CHECK (fans still doubt him)
2. Played at a legit level of competition. CHECK (still considered questionable)
3. Received offers from big schools like Miami, Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, Michigan, etc. CHECK (still doubting him, offers probably aren't commitable lol)
4. Dominates at the Orlando opening, winning WR MVP and earns an invite to the Opening in Oregon. CHECK (fans still have questions)

Moore might be the best "non UM caliber" kid we've ever seen. LOL

This^^^^^

Excellent post, Coach Macho!

One thing is for someone to have an opinion. Another one is for someone to porst the type of bullshyt that this #takeitinthebackside character has been. Just don't get the disrespect and vitriol.

We can all have differing opinions on who we think is a better player for the U, but to try to humiliate the kid with the petty bullshyt this guy brought up is classless and cowardly.

I don't know why you're being so mean about it. It's clear i'm not the only one with misgivings. Pete straight up said that Moore isn't a take for Miami right now. Reading between the lines, it's clear the coaches want to see "moore" of Moore before making a commitable offer. It's clear they have at least 8 guys ahead of him (Pope, Wiggins, Hightower, Josh Moore, Copeland, Williams, Thompson, and Austin).

Pete doesn't have a clue about what he's talking about.

Moore is a TAKE for Miami and has a commitable offer RIGHT now.

I don't know what kind of make believe crack some of yall are smoking but Elijah Moore is the real deal and has a commitable offer!

Paul is slacking... how's his nephew not committed to the U!

The kid is extremely talented.

Just give us Brady and Belichick and we'll start recruiting accountants at WR

LOLOL Nephew wants to feel the "love".

Wanting all that love may find him with no spot left.

These love cravers wind up playing themselves sometimes. Take a look at Jarez Parks.

Someone needs to give Moore better advice if he has an offer and wants to be a Cane. Very limited amount of spots and lots of great prospects out there this year.

This is why adults need to be stronger with 16 year old kids. Most 16 year old kids are basically retarded in the ways of real world stuff.

I'm guessing that if he stayed at Western last year and had comparable numbers to what he had as a sophomore, he would be getting a lot more love from everyone, including UM, at this point. Going to STA and having his production cut by 90% as a junior didn't do anything for the love he wants. I'm sure he will be far more productive this year and will feel a lot more love, but he might have fcked himself out of a spot at UM.

I promise you they are. All the time like everyday but sometimes these kids have to learn the hard way.

Yep. He might be craving love because he caught 9 balls for 40 yards as a junior. Had he posted another 90 catch season at Western he probably wouldn't be craving attention so badly.

How are you "semi sold" after all he's showed up to this point? He's already had a year with ridiculous stats.

Stats are meaningless in high school anyway. College coaches don't pay attention to that ****.

If he stays he probably catches about 60+ cause they ran the ball a lot this year. The RB is pretty good and the QB is dual threat. But they likely go 9-1 or maybe even 10-0 if they upset Flanagan. He would've been the difference maker that would've taken them over the 8-2 hump.

We also wouldn't be having this conversation about his lack of stats.

I just stated why. I dont have to explain anything more on it.

People also need to think long strategically. He's a STA kid. They're a football factory. All other things being relatively equal, I don't see how he's not a take. He seems poised to make a big leap this year. Get in early.
