Is this a legit award? Or is this one of those "effort" feel good awards you give to the lesser talented but overachieving kid with moxie who is "giving his all."

I ask because in a field littered with top 100 type talent, this is the kid that got the award? I mean, no offense, but this kid doesn't even have commitable offers to Bama, Miami, etc. 9 receptions and 42 yards raises eyebrows no matter what the circumstances are.

This is an even worse porst. Holy ****. This is some serious bullshyt disrespect.

Somebody needs to check yo ***.

"Effort", "feel good" and "less talented"?

Man, you a straight up busta. Kid is extremely talented and just dominated at an event with a bunch of others ballers and you're gonna be that guy and post this ****.

Porst of the Year and it ain't even close.

I wonder why they say "not happening" in reference to Moore not staying home? He just laughed so I'm not sure how he feels about it, but that's interesting.

Mom is either a FSU grad or a big fan, can't remember which.

Looks like momma is a Canes hater. Not a good sign, and DEFINITELY not a good look on her part.

Did this kid bang your old lady? You throw shade at him every time he's brought up.

And yes, he has commitable offers from Bama, Miami, etc. SMH

I just cant help but stare at these stats. 9 catches for 42 yards. It's like a siren that won't stop ringing in my ears. A lot like the awful 1-2 TD to INT ratio that Art Sitkapowski put up last year. Numbers don't lie, mang.

What siren goes off when you look at his stats from his Sophomore year? (when he was the only D1 weapon his high school had and he still caught 88 balls)

It's one thing to have an opinion but it's another thing to completely lack common sense.

If he caught 88 balls for 1200 yards as a 10th grader in 8A football then obviously he's shown the ability to make plays already, right? That's been established.
So if his numbers drastically fell during his Junior year (at a different school) then what's more likely, that he got less chances or that his ability disappeared?

Throw the level of competition thing out of the window. He played 8A football his Sophomore year. He caught 88 balls from a QB that lost his starting job to Jake Allen at Cardinal Gibbons. He also played in an offense that had no other D1 players or big play options. He wasn't a secret, he was the main target and he often attracted the oppositions best defenders.

So let's run down the list...

1. Ability to put up big numbers. CHECK (fans still doubt him)
2. Played at a legit level of competition. CHECK (still considered questionable)
3. Received offers from big schools like Miami, Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, Michigan, etc. CHECK (still doubting him, offers probably aren't commitable lol)
4. Dominates at the Orlando opening, winning WR MVP and earns an invite to the Opening in Oregon. CHECK (fans still have questions)

Moore might be the best "non UM caliber" kid we've ever seen. LOL
I think Pete should ask him about his decline in stats from his Sophomore to Junior year.

Excellent post, Coach Macho!

One thing is for someone to have an opinion. Another one is for someone to porst the type of bullshyt that this #takeitinthebackside character has been. Just don't get the disrespect and vitriol.

We can all have differing opinions on who we think is a better player for the U, but to try to humiliate the kid with the petty bullshyt this guy brought up is classless and cowardly.

I don't know why you're being so mean about it. It's clear i'm not the only one with misgivings. Pete straight up said that Moore isn't a take for Miami right now. Reading between the lines, it's clear the coaches want to see "moore" of Moore before making a commitable offer. It's clear they have at least 8 guys ahead of him (Pope, Wiggins, Hightower, Josh Moore, Copeland, Williams, Thompson, and Austin).

You disrespected the kid by saying he got the WR MVP for "effort", being the "feel good" story despite being "less talented."

That is some grade A porsting and major disrespect to a kid that just dominated at an event full of studs.

And again, please show us what the Richt and Dugan's board looks like, since you know for certain.

I will repeat, in my opinion, after having watched all of the available film from the 2018 WR class that we are after, the most impressive ones are Pope, Williams, Copeland (kid ain't coming here), Elijah Moore, and then the rest of the cats that you mentioned.

Rankings and measurables don't always transfer to on-the-field performance.

Trust your eyes and not what you hear or see on the ranking sites.

Hightower I think is very gifted too, but not sure about his top end speed or ability to create separation. He's a jumbo sized kid though with great
measurables, so he's a take all day. Josh Moore is also a great prospect. Austin and Thompson look like big, strong receivers lacking in top end speed. We had plenty of those type of kids under the Alfredo Folden regime. The U was built on speed and more speed.

Mike Harley jr year = 11 catches 121 yards
Sr year = 35 catches 533 yards

This kid is a complete stud and will be a football player in college no matter where he goes. You don't catch 88 passes for 1200 yards as a sophomore in 8A football with questionable talent around you if you can't play. Anyone who doubts it just doesn't want to see it.

You know that I am a STA honk, but his decision to transfer there was not a great short-term decision as he saw limited opportunities this past season (STA had seniors Jordan Merrell, Joshua Palmer, Mike Harley and Trevon Grimes in front of Elijah). Based on their 2017 roster, I'm confident that he will be targeted many more times this season and, based on his ability, I believe will have a HUGE season for STA. I also think STA will have a better QB this season in Beau Fillichio.

Pope and Wiggins are already coming. Copeland is a diva. Williams is going to Bama. Austin plays in the worst class in the state (yet you are so concerned about the competition Elijah played against as a sophomore). Stop sleeping on this kid.

Moore is the kind of receiver that we miss on because we get caught up in going after "guys higher up on our board," and then we regret it when he goes to a school like Louisville and dominates for 4 years. We need this guy in the class.
