Just a reminder for those who are unsure of what happened. Travis Johnson was let go because of an off the field incident.

As so many of you have put it before, you can also apply the "You looking? We looking." to this situation and while looking it looks like we found a few options.

If I'm not mistaken, he was the one that committed early before the offers started to roll in for him (before the summer eval period). Once he started getting offers and attention, the began to tweet about other opportunities and how he was committed but not a solid verbal (what the **** does that mean!).

If you don't believe me, check his ****ter timeline and/or just search his name for the threads that have been posted about him.

It could also be that Golden understands that drama from your "leader" (the QB) is not good for the class...so they're cutting him loose.

It could also be a combination of a lot of different things:

-Coley doesnt like him
-Golden didnt like him waffling
-Edouard doesnt want to be here, but doesnt want to be the bad guy
-Golden/Coley have better options, so they are giving him the Travis Johnson treatment

SOUTH ALABAMA IS IN THE BUILDING TODAY !

I only put those 2 tweets up just to say that he shows literally every "school" some love. He does it for his teammates, sometimes himself but for the most part he just seems thankful for any school that shows him or his boys some attention, so I don't think he's about drama at all. Also, if Golden is actually mad about him taking visits and showing even a slight bit of interest in other schools then he won't last, because especially when the kids are juniors it will happen every year and let's be real this staff is doing the same with other commits at other schools. I just think Coley sees his guys and Alin is at least the 3rd guy to him right now.

It's funny seeing guys in other threads trashing 16/17/18 year old kids, saying how they're men and should behave as such when it comes to recruiting process, but then saying nothing when an actual man in Coley delivers Miami's apparent disinterest in Edouard by not answering his phone calls. That's some adolescent **** right there.

If the kid thinks he's committed to you, but you aren't committed to him, say it. In an area where there are too many coaches gleefully looking for evidence that UM did a kid dirty, it would make sense to be straight with him. I don't want to see a tweet from Uncle Puke (dictated to a jittery crackhead who actually can read and write) saying, "Goldie pull ship frm Allan Edwards? Here my boy Hurtt phonje #"

IF the staff doesn't want him anymore why not just tell the kid.. Every one biches how some recruits do UM wrong but if what people say is true, that UM phasing him out because they don't want him anymore.. Then that's pretty ****ed up imo, especially considering these are grown men that's doing it..

I agree. Let's not be blind to the fact that they're treating this kid pretty badly.

So what's this mysterious off the field issue that pushed Johnson away from Miami? I keep hearing this but never see anything specific.

i think he should come to miami anyway. at whatever posistion he will get the best oppurtunity at. i hope the staff also still wants him to be in this class no matter what, i think he is a good athlete. and will help keep the nucleus of the southflorida ballers/goons together. u can tell the swag of the team right now though is turned up. especially when there listening to music on the practiced field.

I think he only wants to play QB though which could be why we are going cold on him. Remember that he wasn't Coley's recruit and obviously Coley is looking for a different type of QB. It happens. If we miss out on Alin, we will be ok and its College Recruiting...stuff like this happens all the time. Unfortunate but true.

This is the ****** part of the whole recruiting game. You hate to see it happening to a kid that doesn't play games and just wants clarity. Wish him the best as he was all canes and his waning interest is not his fault.

I wonder what he is feel after Kaaya committed and possibly Malik could be coming soon.

Barry Jackson ‏@flasportsbuzz 2m
...UM OC Coley called Hialeah coach Mark Berman today to tell him offer to Edouard still stands. He said Coley and Edouard will speak soon.
I guess after that conversation we will know what's next

I think he needs to keep calm. Can we get him one of those shirts... keep calm and ...

Very true. Could be possible. About 45 seconds after Barry's tweet, his came out next. But it definitely could be a coincidence cuz he could be reading all that other crap on twitter saying he went soft on his commitment cuz he doesnt want to compete.

Doesn't exactly mean he responded to that but it could be

I always said that was b.s. because as fans we've heard for the longest that 2 qbs were coming so he would obviously know and trust if he didn't want to be a Cane he would've decommitted already
