I'm not a fan of a QB recruit talking like that. It shows weakness in his character as a recruit who is supposed to be a leader. Can't be committed and still looking at options. He's not sold on our staff taking 2 qbs.

kids been on record as recruiting for us and trying to lock down the SoFla studs

im more concerned with the fact that he isn't in constant contact with the staff

You never know who is going to excell at qb at Miami. We have had the highest rated kids here such as Wright , Forte, Alan Hall and Chris Walsh who came here and not work out. Most of our legends were after thoughts with the exception of Erickson and Mira. We were after someone else most of the recruiting cycle and got on Dorsey late for an example and Mark Richt was rated higher than Kelly and we know about Morris. Edourd is not as ballyhooded as Olsen but don't write him off. I'm not writing off Crow either. All he has done is exceed expectations since he's been here.

Love everyone bashing him for saying he's just keeping his options open and calling him a poor leader because of it.

Best fans on the planet.

I don't follow how this is an attack on the fan. We're discussing the kid and his character. Not sure your aware of this but he could IN HIS HEAD be looking around but he doesn't have to disclose that information.

If he leaves, people will hate him regardless.

If he leaves, then people can ***** or if he said another team was his #1, but he was still committed, I would understand. He has continually said he is still committed and has been actively recruiting.

Right now complaining about his statements or lack of leadership does nothing.

His tweet yesterday--USF 🏈🏈, LOUISVILLE 🏈🏈 👌...

Sounds like a solid commit to me (sarcasm)

I can only speak for myself, but I'm not bashing anyone. I just never understood how those two things can exist at the same time.

"Solidly committed" but still "keeping my options open."

Kind of like "I'm married" but still "dating."

Just seems like a contradiction.

What does sucking him off do then? Is he ****ed off by comments on a message board?

Listen, it is a stupid comment that didn't need to be said. I for one (please disagree) hate the idea of my QB looking at other options. I understand he is keeping his options open but my point still is true.

It is easier to recruit when you are 100% committed to a program then if you are committed by considering other options. There is a difference between the way Duke Johnson committed and recruited for Miami. Do I expect everyone to do this? HECK NO, kids are selfish and don't understand the bigger picture. Do I prefer my QB to be fully committed? YES.

Committed means ___________________ .

They don't, kids don't understand or know what committed means.

You guys forget some of these kids are 15, 16, 17 years old. Are you really trying to dissect their logic? They aren't fully formed grown men, this isn't free agency. This is why you approach recruiting with the attitude that if they show up, their talents can help the team. IF not, oh well. The kid says I'm committed, but keeping my options open. I'd like to hear the question as much as the response. "Hey Alin, are you committed or keeping your options open or what?" At least Bastian posts his interviews with the girlie voice and all, so we can see recruits gathering their thoughts. Edouard has a good attitude and I would like to see him here. But to blast him for his word choice, or especially to compare him to Robert Grifin (before his senior year of high school)...I think some of y'all need a little perspective.

I agree with the majority of what you're saying, except that QB commitment is little different from the usual 17 year old HS recruits. They show more maturity don't rush to commit before they are 100% sure of their choice and recruit other players. It is hard to lead and recruit when you SAY "my options are still open"
Of course (in reality) his options are open, like every other recruit who's committed but has not signed the LOI yet. But when you keep saying it in every interview it doesn't make you look good.

I haven't been "sucking him off" at all. I'm just glad he's committed.

I think we all know that Duke like recruits aren't very common. Would I love for him to be Duke? Obviously, but it's unrealistic to expect any recruit to show the level of commitment he did.

I'd prefer he wasn't looking around, but until he decommits, I'm not going to bash him.

I don't want to threadjack anymore, so we can just agree to disagree about his statements.

That is fine.

No one is bashing, we're just saying we don't like our "COMMITTED" QB looking around.

Momma didn't raise em right then. SoFla kids are divas.. Plain and simple.

I wish a reporter would ask- Why are you visiting schools if you are committed? If you want to keep options open why commit in the first place? Do it bastian

I'm going to say what everyone is thinking right now

They are afraid that Alin might be the next Teddy.

It wouldn't bother me one bit if Alin booked. Kid has been an attention seeking punk. His recruitment is looking like the beginnings of Travis Rudolph's decom. Teddy is 10x the passer Alin is- no comparison. Alin is a project QB at this point. Hold his commitment and if he stays he stays, but I'd be recruiting 2 other studs. Go hard after Kayaa.

Does the picture of wads of $100 bills on a Gucci bag on his Twitter mean that Alabama is moving in on our QB?

It's worthless trying to talk sense in to all the negative sour-pussies. The problem isnt the kid's statement, the problem is reading comprehension. He clearly referred to himself as being behind the great wall of china, and handing off to Yearby, etc....

Yet the thread goes on a rant, because he's "keeping his options open"; which only means he wants to travel, and enjoy his SR year.

Same sourpussies probably wouldn't want our commits to travel to Orlando for a family vacation if UCF was competetion... SMH @ your insecurities!!!!
