Similar height and weight to another DT from north Central Fla, one Jerome Brown, if this kid and can approach that level we are cooking. Coach them up!

I'd like to believe that. Feels like an even swap at best. Simpson looked pretty good out there. Carter got 1 tackles against FCS comp. Coaches clearly like him since they recruited him last year, too. But he is essentially an unknown right now.

We don't know this…DT are capable of taking a step in year two and if Brewu was at OSU (or UM this year) he wouldn't have seen as many snaps as he did at Pitt (And I like Brewu and would have been happy with him to UM)
Brewu more proven yes? But when you are dealing with loaded rosters like OSU/GA (UM closing gap fast), there are very capable players behind the studs starting.
For instance this whole board expected Simpson to take a big step for us next year.
I like FSU transfer NT/ DT Kevin Wynn better than Johnson.
Wynn is # 55 on defense for FSU, notice how he consistently collapses the left side of UM'S line when he is in.
