Where are the 4 high level DTs? How do you know nesta will be ready to play day 1? Is ford ready to go from barely playing to starter? Can bethel hold up inside?
Bethel has played all season long and has been doing very well. Ford has looked pretty good for a guy who missed all offseason training with the team. I’ve said last year when healthy Gerald Willis was Miami’s most dominant dt last year and Pete echoed that sentiment once again this year a few weeks back. Silvera is arguably the best dt in the country yet he can’t be considered a high level guy? Come tf on...

Nesta isnt a high level college DT. He is a high level recruit. He hasnt taken a snap in college. You dont know if he will be ready day 1.

And you don’t know if he won’t be ready either. Kids come in all the time and take over positions. Joe Jackson did it, ed Oliver and Demarcus Lawrence last year.

Lawerence wasnt depended on to play day 1. He came in and was just so good they had to play him. The problem is we are depending on freshmen at a tough position like DT to come in and be good right away.

As a 4th option next year since Willis, bethel, ford will be established. I can see if you we were expecting him to start, that isn’t the case

He might have to start. Bethel is 270 and cant be a every down DT. Nesta is going to have to battle ford for a starting spot.

I don't care much about Goldwire because I was never sold on him. But we **** sure need more DTs. We need someone who is ready to come in and play immediately.

See I agree with this, goldwire was far from a cant miss player on the dline and liked several of the dts in this class over him so I dont care about him going to Louisville at all

Ford will play NT
Willis will be our 3T

Bethel is the first one off the bench. After that it gets ******/unproven/young. Which is why although Goldwire isn’t Mount Cody, he would have brought tremendous size and atleast some experience and would have not forced a true freshman like Silvera into action. Silvera is likely our 4th DT right now, which is scary.

Except several of those other DT’s that you likes so much over him ain’t coming either, lol.

Willis, Ford, Bethel, Silvera, Martin, Fines...that's FAU-level depth.

Some JUCO DTs are no different than true freshmans. It's rare for them to walk in and provide immediate help. And this dude is recovering from a knee injury on top of that.

You are right
But in our situation, I feel like we needed him. Especially after we were fed the BS about us coolin on Briggs because we felt good about Goldwire. Well, now what? Now it looks like we will lose both.

everybody knew that the 2018 DT class was weak, they managed to only take one last year. That's a bigger issue than missing on this year.

I wouldn't count on Willis like that. Silvera will get snaps regardless. Ford and Bethel need to step it up big time.

I was never sold on Goldwire no matter what we were fed. Pretty sure Briggs showed his hand when he told the world he was ready to commit to FSU. I don't know that we cooled on him. Seems the other way around.

Our DT recruiting is looking weak. We need a miracle like a viable grad transfer.

Bullshi. Every single kid can be an nfl prospect under kul. Hilarious that kul was da gawd a mint ago when we were knocking NOTRE dame into the curb but now dummies want him fired.

Well, if we can’t count on the most talented DT we will have in 2018 then f*** me.

Should get back into contact with Chatman

So are there any DT that we still have a realistic shot at? Must be some JUCO mercenaries out there still that would love to play under Kool and Diaz.

Both understatements. We better do something. Even just signing Carson won’t fix the problem because we need numbers and we need to HIT on those guys. We can sign 6 DT’s but if 4 of them are Robert Fines then it’s null.

Guess we’ll see.

How the fu&& should we have taken more? Did you forget what our depth chart looked like at dt in February? No dt stud in America would have wanted to come up with Norton and mcintosh as only JUNIORS. Plus the logjam behind them.

Even if we shockingly land three studs they're still true fr playing the one position you need grown men at.
