I'll take Bradley in a ****ing heartbeat.

Where is Bradley now? Still at State Penn?

Pretty sure he was out of football this year. He didn't stay on at Ped State after last season.

I think he went back to the Pittsburgh area where he originally hails from and did some radio/tv work for the
local media....I think some stuff with the Steelers.

By the way Chise, good seeing you out here.
I'm the dude from Maryland on the other site. :)

Carlos, I was hoping you were over here. I'm done with that cesspool. I have a feeling it would probably be Spazz or Bradley if Corch Duh moves on. What do you think?

I think Dnofrio gets the nod because he can start right away with recruiting. The Giants won't be done till late January and Rhule will miss an entire recruiting cycle.

He's an assistant OL corch, so he'd probably leave right away. It's not like they'd miss him fetching coffee for the real corches. The Giants could basically replace Rhule with a waiter.

According to CaneSport (for whatever they're worth), D'Onofrio has taken his name out of the running for the Temple job.

He needs to interview like that so that he gets experience doing the interviews, even if he isn't really interested in the jobs. It also gets his name out there for later, when he's really ready to leave. He's going to need to show that Miami's defense will turn around before he can go anywhere.

I wish he was leaving. The guys horrendous.

I hope so....we need some serious help on the DL

I'm willing to give him one more season before I jump on the "fire D'Onofrio" bandwagon. I see both sides of the argument. There was not a lot to like about our defense this year but our d-line was just poo and we had little depth. That said, he has to show some improvement next year.

Amazingly, i am glad he is coming back. I want to see this experiment through to the end. Does he really suck or was the talent too young and too poor? We shall see.

I'm not ready to fire him just yet. I will give him another year. I can see what people are saying, though. Our defense didn't give us much hope, but we didn't have a whole lot of depth and the D-line just sucked. But he has to get things better next year.

Our defense got terribly burned with that garbage zone D'Onfrio ran. Should have at least let our young guys get some big boy experience getting burned in man. Not to mention playing off the receivers 10-15 yds at the los made me want to punch babies.

That's why I like this new board. There is smart football talk over here. Guys aren't just falling in line with group think and the gang mentality.

Football history is littered with defensive geniuses who struggled horribly when their DL talent was poor. Bill Belichick is one of the best defensive corches in the HISTORY of the game. A brilliant strategist. Strangely, when the talent is down, or he doesn't have pass rushers, his defense has been terrible at New England. Steve Spagnuolo was considered a rising star when he was the Giants' DC. They were killing people and won a Super Bowl with his stifling defense. He parlayed that into a HC gig and then later into a DC gig with the Saints. He's been terrible since leaving the Giants. Did he suddenly get dumb, or does he miss Tuck, Umenyura, Strahan and all those horses on the DL?

I've yet to see in many 79 years of watching football a dominant defense with a horrible DL. Our LBs spent the first 9 games choking on the backtits of such stalwart DTs as Darius ****, who never should have been here, and Corey King, who had no business playing at this stage of his young career. Moore's going to be a beast, but he was overwhelmed out there. How great were Warren Sapp or Jerome Brown as true freshman? We have no idea because they didn't have to play. Poor Shayon Green is a warrior, but he's about 6' tall and 250 with arms shorter than Venus D'Milo. He's got no business out there and is wholly incapable of providing a pass rush.

In the 1 or 2 games where we actually fielded some quality players playing together (Porter, Perryman, EJ, Bush) we did very well. Then, EJ crapped the sheets, Perryman was hurt, and Bush went down. Suddenly, Duh' got stupid again.

Duh is a guy who has had success. He's got a good track record. He had Temple ranked 17th in D, and I think we were 17th or 18th ranked his first year here when we had some talent and experience on the DL. It all starts up front. Watch how much better we get as Olsen Pierre continues to improve (I think he'll be a 1st or 2nd round pick when he leaves here), if Porter sticks around, and the freshman grow up.

The DL will make or break a DC.

Pretty positive, had Vernon, Forston, Ojomo returned with a healthy Porter, along with all the young cats.

This defense would have been a **** of a lot better in pressuring the QB, 3rd downs, and scoring.

We took our highs and lows this past season, but we should have everyone returning, plus.....with some luck. Some juco talent sprinkled in.

This upcoming seasons defense should be light years better.

You couple that with an offense that finished the season strong, in which 3 & outs were very far few and in between.

Ono should be able to quite his critics.

If he can't then it should be very easy to get rid of him, and find someone who is up to taking a very talented defense to the next level.
