Pete would we take a commitment from Samuel even without Jobe's commitment or is this an either or kind of thing with the two.

Reason I ask with him not coming until January( at least that's what is said doubt saban allows it)Asante isn't going to wait to be strung along.

Got a feeling we will lose AS if we sit and wait for this kid no matter how good he is and lose out on Jobe too.

When you say film I am assuming you are referring to highlight tapes.

I just find it crazy that a guy can say with so much certainty that one player is better than the other without seeing them play in person or watch an entire game.

IMHO it is really hard to judge DB skills off a highlight tape alone.

He’s not close to a better football player than any of those guys. He might be one of the best prospects from a physical standpoint, but he’s nowhere near the player those and a few other commits are.

that's my thinking but with this kid dragging things out until who knows when in January and I still don't think he visits,Asante ain't playing a backup role to him.

we are not only going to lose Jobe(think he's already lost) cause Saban is going to tell him he's not coming if he wants a spot which will nip that visit in the bud but we'll lose AS too by slowplaying him waiting on this fool.

I know this kid is supposed to be the goods but is he worth losing AS over if/when he doesn't come?

i dont think you know how to evaluate talent then. dudes maybe top 7 in this class and thats a big MAYBE. But hey the rest of the dudes didnt go to columbus so how good could they be compared to a 20 year old

I saw highlights of jobe, a 20 yr old getting ed by some sorry *** prep school kid from connecticut, so yea he aint the best or even close to top 3 in the ****ing class. imo gurvan hall ****s on jobe in all facets of the game as does gilbert

u got an argument with Hall but thats it IMO, Jobe is being recruited by Saban like a beast that tells u all u need to know about how highly the best talent evaluator in cfb thinks of him.

We can easily replace jobe. But if waiting on him causes us to lose Samuel and smith, THAT will be much more difficult to recover from.

facts

Keep talent home, we have to beat Saban for a kid thats homegrown who favors them. This is a true test that they lost last year with JJ, this has to change eventually and I doubt it starts with Jobe. Agree with everything u said Trav
