That was not a slight to Pete and Tito or anyone of the mods it's just annoying that irrelevant post are being made in this thread that is supposed to be about the progress of the visits. Just because it's not any news now doesn't mean you have to pollute the thread with irrelevant conversation. You can start another thread if your trying to do that. Just voicing an opinion.

The only thing we have to fear, is what your country can do for you.

well we got strategery on our side.....

And trickeration.

Don't make me go nucular on you guys.

You don't like that Jesse Palmer created word?

Personally, I cringe every time some bloated talking head says it on tv. They say it as if they actually believe it makes them sound intelligent.

The trickery is upon them.

What I learned today from this site:

There are a lot of Animal House fans here
There are a lot of folks that only have the vaguest idea of history
There is zippo info on recruiting right now

Did I miss any salient points?

You're on double-secret probation.

So back in the late 1930's/early 1940's the Japanese government did not like the fact that the United States had too much control over the global oil markets. So on December 7th....

Never heard that the Global Oil Markets had anything to do with Pearl Harbor. Hmm, you learn something new everyday.

Actually, it was more than control of the markets. FDR imposed a series of embargos of essential resources aims at Japan and then froze their assets several monthis before Pearl Harbour. The announced reason was the continued Japanese agression against China. Conspiracy advocates would claim FRD was desparate to get into war against ***** and did this to force Japan into attacking us , with the hope Hitler was stupid enough to declare war against us. Japan wanted resourses of Asia and got in the way. Whatever the reason, Japan had to knuckle under or fight. They chose fight and got it. Hitler was stupid enough to declare war on us. The rest is history. The winners get to write history so there you go.

It doesn't take a conspiracy theorist to know that Japan is an island nation with limited resources. They built their fleet from our scrap metal. They needed unchecked resource accumulation, and they hoped to whither the United States while our armed forces were generationally effete. It was a rare "aggressive act of preservation". That's the "whatever" in why they fought. Their window was diminishing from the moment their Pacific campaign began.

The "whatever" was intended as to whatever FDR's reason was, not Japan's. They obviously had no choice. That is the point. Did FDR intentional force them to war as the only way he could get into the war against the Germans?

You ask too many questions. Nobody cares about this. It was too long ago to be worried about now. Jeome Brown must have addressed this at some point anyway when he expounded on Pearl Harbor's history before the Fiesta Bowl.

Can we please turn this thread back into just recruiting news on the visits and not the stupid irrelevant stuff some of you are writing. You are ruining the thread man.......

LOL. The Japanese involvement in WWII is now "stupid, irrelevant stuff" but college football recruiting information is to be digested and respected.

How did Cook sleep last night? Did he use one or two pillows? Did he get a cookie last night? This is the **** I want information on already. What's wrong with you Peter. I pay my monthly fee to get this type of information. Oh wait.

Seven days and four years ago, Mark D'onofrio brought forth on this program, a new defense, conceived in complexity, and dedicated to the proposition that all opposing Quarterbacks and/or Running Backs are created equal and will look like Heisman Candidates.

Jerome Brown fully addressed this during the discussion and in-depth analysis of the UM walkout from the Steak Fry before the 1988 Fiesta Bowl. He referred comprehensively and in great detail to the Japanese involvement in Pearl Harbor and the analogy to the steak fry. All that historians can say about Pearl Harbor were said at the time Jerome discussed it. It was, so to speak, the last word.

Now, it's time to move on to something more contemporary, Dalvin Cook.

As we did last year, check back at this thread for updates, tweets, pictures. I will be updating the OP.

Friday

11:40 AM - Despite rumors that Ryheem Lockley would be here this weekend for a visit, that is not the case. I was told that the Miami coaches are still expecting him in this class and he will start out as a TE. If he does not make it on a visit next weekend, he might not be an EE.

Saturday

10:45 AM - Rumor floating around that Dalvin Cook woke up sick this morning and might have left his visit. That would be the worst case scenario for Miami, but I'm trying to confirm if that is true.

11:20 AM - I'm told there aren't any surprise visitors this weekend. The prospects expected to come made it.

WOAT news if true.

Just saw Cook and his teammate (our O-line commit) walking into the new student center. Has to be a good sign am i right?

Where exactly did the rumor start at?

A source that I trust sent me a text about it. Like I said, I'm trying to see if it's true or not, but I figured I'd post it as a RUMOR so people aren't shocked if it's true. If it's not true and just a bad rumor, we move on.
