Damien Martinez, a former running back for the Hurricanes, is joining Elijah Arroyo at the Seattle Seahawks after being picked in the seventh round, 223rd overall.
Martinez delivered an impressive first season with the Hurricanes, posting the first 1,000-yard campaign by a Miami running back since 2016. He served as one of the offense’s top contributors and earned All-ACC Honorable Mention recognition.
Martinez rushed for 1,002 yards and 10 touchdowns, caught 17 passes totaling 204 receiving yards, and led the team with 1,206 all-purpose yards. He saw action in all 13 games with 10 starts and averaged 6.3 yards per carry.
