D$. With the new transfer rules, is there any worry about some of our top Offensive talent bailing after the season?

Not sure why people keep bringing this up. If a guy transfers he still must sit out a year.

if you want to keep guys around who cant coach but can recruit you are part of the problem as a fan. good recruiters can coach as well. when the line can't block properly on a jet sweep or the receivers can run good routes it is on the coaches.

one thing i want to say is this. deejay should not come back in the game after 2 fumbles. i love the kid but at that point he needs to be benched. he nearly muffed a punt and coughed up another fumble (only to luckily get it back). our staff is such wimps when it comes to doing the tough coaching players need.

if the players do not respect you this is what happens. i bet every single player on bama or clemson fears the head coach (even dabos son). you are a coach ffs, you aren't the best friend. coaches challenge players to make them better. the weak fail the strong get better. this mentality is so soft it is sickening. that does not mean you don't care about the players.

I think we're done. The fans gave the program one last shot after the Shannon and Golden abortions. Richt blew it -- and it's now clear the admin blew it with the hire of Richt (contrary to what I believed). This will end up being one of the worst classes we've had in recent memory. This program can't afford that. And I, for one, cannot stomach the idea of another 5 year "rebuild," waiting another two years for Richt to be fired.

Mark Richt was a play it safe hire. Same like the Golden hire. Worse thing is that he is just as stubborn as Golden and refuses to make changes.

Head coaches should not be calling plays. There is too much other **** that they have to manage in today's game.

I posted it in another thread, but the last OC hire Richt made was garbage (Schottenheimer), whom he hired because he also didn't believe in running a modern spread offense. So Rick can give up playcalling duties, but he will hire a clone who thinks just like, so giving up playcalling isn't going to make things better.

The one hope is that Miami finishes 5-7, BOT forces Rick to hire someone innovative with a different coaching philosophy (like a David Yost or Brohm), there is tension between Richt and the OC because their approaches are like oil and water, BOT has the new OC's back 100%, and Rick quits after next year because he hates having another alpha male in the room. New OC becomes the HC, pair him with Manny, and bada bing bada boom it's a beautiful day again.

The talent on that 2016 offense squad was much better.

Kaaya
Walton
Richards-healthy
Berrios
Coley
Njoku
Herndon
Isadora
Mcdermott

Bottom line Richt offense works if you have NFL level experience talent across the board.

If you have a bunch of youngsters and a bad OL and a bad QB you’re screwed.

Other offense systems would get much more out of the current offense

So we hired a guy that needs pro players at every position in order to beat Duke. Got it.

That is NOT what we were sold on.

Teams take on the personality of their coach. Complacency & mediocrity define Mark Richt at present..

That's how we got here.

Fire Mark Richt

Anyone still think we are better than 4 million per year Mark Rick than a 2 million per year Al Golden, if he had been forced to fired DNo (he would have had to to save his job )and brought in a 4-3 DC? How is that team not 200% better than this one?

I can't think of any season I've played in, or any I've watched at any level and cared about, that had the expectations this one had and collapsed like this season.

With Shannon and Golden, I figured as much after their first couple loses. With Richt, given his winning percentage I rode the pony a lot longer. But look at the teams we're losing to...

I dunno. The 2010 collapse was pretty epic. Miami was #12 going to Columbus that year.

Shannon got fired that season for going 7-5.

Richt would be lucky to finish 7-5 this season, and his job security is all but assured supposedly? Total Bullsh!t

You've been objective on the Richt hire the entire time. I remember your posts when Richt was mentioned as a candidate ... And you've been proven accurate.

I knew what he was at UGA, too. But held out hope the change of scenery and desire to prove UGA wrong would be to our benefit. Doesn't appear that will be the case.

Now, I'm just hoping he makes the right call on the next OC ...

The next OC will be him. Again, Richt was in on retirement. We begged him to come by upping his money (this is the most he's made as a head coach, period. Gave him autonomy over the offense, and allowed him to hire his son, something he's wanted for a couple of years now, but UGA wouldn't allow it (go figure). Nothing is going to change, and stupid Blake James had the audacity to extend this dude for no reason.

Playing Langham and Cager at the same time is maddening. They do not have the speed or skills to create separation. Opposing corner backs have ZERO fear that they will get beat deep. They crowd the line of scrimmage and allow one of the safeties to move up into the box and defend the inevitable "second clap, run it into the back of my Gauthier's backside" play.

Anyone want to speculate what happens when we finish 5-7 and miss a bowl game?

The admin simply cannot allow 5-7 and no bowl game to slide into next year without something giving. I have little doubt some changes will be forced on Morch and he'll no doubt hire another dud to run his offense..... because that's how he operates. He'll shake the staff up and move some titles around to give the appearance that there is change occurring.

The appropriate move after 5-7 and no bowl is the demolition of the whole f*cking thing. Everyone goes including that douche Blake James. Burn the f*cker down and start over. Recruiting is already in a tail spin, he's clearly lost the team as well as a majority of the fans. He's losing alumni by the day. The writing is all over the wall. A competent admin ends it if your scenario plays out.

The same admin that just gave him an extension through 2024?

The goose is cooked.

my heart says fire everyone clean house
