Couple things on Adidas deal

Nike started treating us like the redheaded stepchild/2nd tier program and Fvck them for that! We were their first program and should’ve always been treated as the blue blood that we are, but that’s the past now and you can’t change that. I’m glad Adidas is making us the focal point of their brand just like Nike does with Oregon. The Adidas gear is night and day better than anything Nike ever gave us towards the end of their agreement with us. And anyone who disagrees with the switch, honestly, I question your ability to understand what’s best for our program. Also, Petey boy, you gonna finally eat some crow on here about your wrong assessment on our defensive line? I’m still waiting sport?!
It only took them how many years to turn us back into the U from the V?

Adidas es basura.

You just don't get it, genius.

I don't give a **** if we are the "crown jewel" with Nike. In fact, I know we aren't. Oregon and North Carolina are. That's fine.

But adidas promised us that we would be the "crown jewel" in their world. It's what got Beta Blake's tiny ****** hard. It's why we fell for the hook, line, and sinker.

And then adidas screwed us. I just pointed out all the propaganda that was fed to @Peter Ariz that NEVER HAPPENED. And that's not even counting the violation of the "most favored nations" clause, which adidas nearly immediately violated with the massive Louisville extension.

But I know what is about to happen. Because I have spoken with a couple of alums who are going to fall for the banana in the tailpipe YET AGAIN. They are going to believe the (illusory) adidas promises YET AGAIN, and act as if the "best offer" belongs to adidas. The same idiotic mistake that YOU HAVE MADE for the last 10 years, bull****ting us all, telling us all about the magical adidas "guaranteed payment" every year.

It's nothing personal, I just hate gullible and/or stupid people who try to act as if they know how this industry actually works.
Or maybe all the people making the decisions know the contract and what has been delivered better than you, especially compared to what the alternative/Nike was offering.

The Guaranteed payment lol...

Believe whatever you want, dude but my eyes know what I saw. So Fvck Nike for that and I am grateful we’re with a brand like Adidas that treats us like we deserve to be treated which is a five time national championship blue blood program. Versus being shlt on by Nike.

This is just some ignorant bull****.

Again, I can't make this any more clear. Instead of taking regular delivery of brand new uniforms and apparel during the last couple of years of the Nike contract, Beta Blake James had some of the shipments converted into cash payments.

Nobody is questioning what "your eyes saw". We are explaining WHY "your eyes know what you saw". There was a rational reason, and it wasn't because of Nike "****ting on" Miami.

Now, if you want to DENY the causality, that is on you. But that's what happened.

It's sad that so many low-standards dopes are impressed by adidas suddenly "stepping up" in Year 11 of a 12 year contract. It's as if nobody ever saw an athlete give his best performance in his "contract year"...BECAUSE HE WANTS ANOTHER CONTRACT.

Dopey dopey nonsense...

If the money is right, I’m all in!
This is exactly what I’m talking about right here. Adidas is paying us more than Nike Ever would and is taking care of us like we deserve to be taken care of, which is of a blue blood program. Why people can’t stop living in the Nike past, and start realizing this, is beyond me. I’m all in on Adidas because they’re treating us right, end of story.

It amazes me that people are willing to believe Adidas's "this time it'll be different" pitch.

As a wise man once said, "fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again!"

Complete truth.

Ten years of ****** performance by adidas, yet some ******* are still whining about the last 2 years of our THIRTY YEAR relationship with Nike.

We got people saying that we have a "bad taste in the mouth" from the last 2 years of Nike, yet they believe it when adidas promises not to come in our mouths THIS TIME...

You’ll be hearing more leaks with time.

Will these leaks be as accurate as the January 2015 leaks from @Peter Ariz ?

This is all I'm asking for:

1. The FULL presentation from Nike. Not these clandestine "six months before Nike is contractually allowed to bid" exchange of financial parameters. THE FULL NIKE PRESENTATION. Because all of the ones I have seen announced are as unique as snowflakes. Nike has been putting together very specific bids for each specific school, and I'm sure that has been done to SATISFY what each school asks for.

2. The FULL financial package offered by each bidder, which in this day and age is much easier to quantify and compare.

3. The itemized list of all the magical "step-ups" that adidas has performed recently, that would lead anyone to believe that "everything is different now, we really mean it this time". I just want to know what adidas has done. Do we have a Cam Ward Heisman Trophy? Do we have a commit from Tristen Keys? Do we have a decent-looking alternate jersey? Do we have a Miami UltraBoost? Or Harden? Or Dame? Or AE? I would simply like to know how adidas has "stepped up" either for any of our sports teams or for our apparel-purchasing fanbase.

That's all. Just those three things. I don't want Miami to "extend" adidas before any other company has had a chance to present. I don't want Miami to "extend" on January 2, 2026 because the adidas fix was in. I don't want to be told about the HORRRRRIBLE and "bad taste in the mouth" final 2 years with Nike while people ignore the horrendous FIRST TEN YEARS with adidas. And I want to know EXACTLY HOW adidas is showing Miami how much they love Miami. DEEDS, not words. ACTIONS, not promises.

I don't see it with the school. I don't see it with the teams. I don't see it with the alums and fans.

For me, this is business, nothing personal. I was fine with forgiving adidas for the first two years of our relationship. Nike had a rough last couple of years too, due to Beta Blake James. But what I will NOT do is to act like the first TEN years of adidas is comparable to the last two years of Nike.

I wear apparel and shoes from both companies. I am fine with either company if one is CLEARLY superior to the other. I was in favor of adidas over Nike until the sixth year of this bull**** relationship. I clearly think that 30 years with Nike as the ORIGINAL Nike school is worth more than 10 years of being bi-curious with adidas.

But enough is enough. I'm tired of this process being fixed. NIKE IS NOT YET ON THE CLOCK. NIKE HAS NOT YET MADE ITS PRESENTATION. NIKE HAS NOT YET MADE ITS FINAL OFFER. But you obviously have some people trying to turn this into a fait accompli.

Hire an AD in-waiting. Let this person open up the RFP process. Give EVERYONE equal time, I don't even care if it's Lululemon. Not for a second do I believe that Nike will not make this a competitive contest, particularly in light of losing Tennessee and Pedo State.

It may still turn out to be adidas, in the end. But we should not be tolerating a drip-drip-drip of leaks that attempt to make this seem like an unavoidable outcome.
