Looks like CMR is doing a great job with his staff. Hope he keeps it up.

As far as the Bruce argument in this forum, it's not a big deal either way. Yes I hope he sticks but if he doesnt I wont lose an ounce of sleep. I want kids who care more about the Orange and Green than a particular position coach.

To be honest, if you're a stud like Bruce and committed to a team in the gutter with Golden at the helm and you now change your mind after we hire a real deal head coach you aren't very bright. This team will only improve, with or without Bruce.

I don't know how important Bruce is to this class, but I do know that he is a talent that I would rather have on my team than playing against. If talent acquisition is the goal, then acquire some freaking talent. There are only a couple of teams who have earned the right to be ultra picky, and we ain't one of them.

Wow, The coaching staff and all of the other players might have a little resentment toward Bruce when they find out that the entire fate of the U rests on his shoulders and they will be playing second fiddle.

Bruce is the kind of explosive talent on offense that we've missed on in the recent years.

Sam Bruce should be thrilled to death with the hires made by Richt. Bruce will be able to go pro in 3 years with a Richt coached QB and offense. If he wants to go to a lesser school let him follow his dreams but he should remember that as of 12-26-2015 the U is back.

We have great new $100 million dollar plus facilities with more on the way and we're paying assistants and coordinators top dollar with the SEC schools.

He is 5'7. He isnt going pro in 3 years.

he is listed at 5/8-5.9. obj is 5-10, steve smith was in nfl with panters/ ravens 15 yrs was 5/7. being short doesn't preclude going pro early or being successful.

Actually it does. In all the history of the NFL you didnt name a single player that was 5'7 or even 5'8. Steve smith is NFL measured at 5'9

In "all the history of the NFL"? There probably were quite a few, if you're willing to go back through "all the history" of the NFL. There was Eddie LeBaron, QB of the Redskins and then the Cowboys. He was 5'7". Played in the '50's and '60's.

The smallest ever was Jack "Soapy" Shapiro, who played in the 1920's for the now-defunct Staten Island Stapletons. He was either 5'0" or 5'1", depending on who you read. Today, there are quite a few around 5'7", or even shorter. Check the list:

sam bruce is an explosive athlete great in short area quickness. wes welker is what 5-8, at most. and steve smith may be listed at 5-9 but no way is he 5-9 and bruce on most sites is listed at 5-8, 5-9. not 5-7.

that said sam bruce has stated he is solid to miami with or without beard.

What are the chances we get Butch Davis as Defensive Coordinator. The coach bleeds Orange and Green. However, he wont get to coach ever as the lead guy again. Why not do the Bud Foster and just help us rise back to greatness as a number 2 assistant head coach behind Richt. Is it possible for him to swallow his pride to accept? Also, Ive been falling in love with the idea of either Ken Dorsey as Co-OC or paying the big bucks to get Mario Cristobol as Co-OC/Offensive Line Coach. Ken Dorsey be nice because its Ken. Mario would be smart because of recruiting and limited time we have left. He would instantly help us clean up the class. I love the DL hire of coach KOOL! We need more, and I believe UM is ready to pay big bucks to become/compete with the Elite.

So much wishful thinking lol

Jesus Christ dude.

This kid should not be reporting what coaches are gone. Can't stand these kids that think they are above everything. Great HS player but hasn't stepped foot on college field yet. Zip it!

You'd be surprised at how many current nfl players are in the 5-8/5-9 range. A lot.

Jon Richt to the staff is official. As is Kool, Brown, and Hartley.

Bruce Feldman ‏@BruceFeldmanCFB 1m1 minute ago
#Miami makes hires of Co OC/RB coach Thomas Brown, DL Coach Craig Kuligowski, STC Todd Hartley and offensive asst Jon Richt official.

Interesting that Jon Richt will be a assistant....im fine with it. Also happy with Hartley coaching special teams.

Sam Bruce is the most important recruit.... How?

Best player in Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach. You get Bruce other players will follow him in 2017 & 2018.

Do not buy that for a second. It was said about Duke.. who followed? It was said about TH3 and Deon, who followed? That is a MYTH IMO.

Dalvin Cook got Ermon Lane and Phillips with him at FSU. Emmanuel Greene will probably be a hurricane because of Sam Bruce

Barry Sanders was 5'8". Does he count?

he was a rb so probably not. to think bruce at 18 is done growing is false also . he may be he may not be. its not height that matters but weight. if he can get up to 200 lbs he would make an elite slot guy. even in nfl , i don't know the heights of every nfl wr or db or rb in history so i can't actually say a name but to think a kid with his elite speed and seperation can't play at miami is absurd.

Wes Welker was 5'9 and dominating in the NFL. If you can play then it doesn't matter your size. Brandon Banks was 5'6 145lbs at Kansas State. There's a bunch of smaller players that make impacts at the college level.
