I feel you. One thing that's fact however is a team is built from the trenches. A dominant defense especially considering how we scheme things starts with this dl. So we certainly pull from other spots if necessary. However it wont happen. At dt & lt & qb it's the positions that require the longest, strongest relationships to effectively recruit a dominant top tier target at. Since were basically just entering into the ring we need to set a wide parameter to see who is really interested. However as I know riggins very well I think he has the potential to be a great addition for us. I've known this kid since he was 14. He has the tools to be very special with the right coaching and right scheme.
Why don't I hear about him at camps or anything? Or on the field at IMG? Is he all potential just because of his size?

Currently, according to 247, Clemson has 3 DT on their roster and 2 committed, Alabama has the same, the Canes have 6 and 1 committed (they list Riggins as a SDE). We lose 2 after this season and both Clemson and Alabama lose 1.
We can all chew these "facts" up, but as I have stated before, we can't sign 3+ DTs this cycle without attrition.
Numbers are numbers and players are players... we have high Hope's for nesta. Only way he gets to that peak is with another stud next to him. The teams you mentioned have those studs already established in the trenches. NOTHING we have is even close to an established stud now that g is gone. That's not a knock on us or our players. It's just a realistic assessment of where we have to improve.

I believe Riggins was hurt alot of last season. Not sure why I think that - possibly read it here.

We actually have more returning than both schools in 2019. We just need to see the players, like Nasty, play to their potential with Simpson's guidance.
Agreed, we on the same page.

Take as many DT’s as want to come. I’d take a class of all DT’s if possible. Play them at QB. Can’t be worse then Rosier.

DSD, do you believe he has any love for Miami? Or is he looking at Pitt due to the affinity for Donald?

No clue. I dont know that kid. But if the logic is Aaron Donald cause he was mentioned than you gotta apply the same logic for us with Warren. Lord knows we have alot more selling points than Aaron Donald if past hits are a selling point. & jess is a **** of a coach. Kids love him

I already posted if we offer .....we would be the leaders right now.

Can someone help me understand why we are paying attention to a kid at Armwood?

All I know about this guy is what has been written here. But as a general rule, a lineman named "Clyde" is a take for me.

"Pinder wishes Armwood could get another shot at Northwestern."

No they don't. LOL
MNW been a thorn in the side of Armwood. I bet they're thrilled that they don't have to deal with them anymore.

Love this kid's game though. I hope we offer.
